Oh, I like the section with the Sha-Brytol's first appearance. Those glowing eyes in the dark ...

It was definitely creepy, especially with the music, but the whole time I was thinking: "Guys. Guys. You see those, right? They're pretty obviously eyes. Why aren't you commenting on the eyes?!" :P

Yeah, there was this looming sense of dread present in the Origins Deep Roads, the understanding that we were knee-deep in enemy territory and danger was lurking all around. And of course, add in the Broodmother, the Archdemon's little rally and Hespith's poem, and you have a great recipe for a lot of tension.

BW should add an extra little warning for claustrophobic people.

I wouldn't, that's half the fun. Pushing comfort zones, I think so anyway. Why shouldn't games have physical and mental impact on the players? have vertigo? Sky drive from 20,000 feet up.

.-. I know a guy who barfed watching the HALO jump in MGS 3

Since we're accustomed to the huge caverns of DAO's Deep Roads and the ancient thaigs which had ceilings much taller than necessary for the dwarves, I guess it's reasonable not to expect tighter spaces in Descent. But it's also fair to have tighter spaces than we've seen before since we're going past the DR into unknown territory. I don't think we should be surprised that heading deeper underground might lead to tight fits.
