Seriously. Cell-Shaded graphics look pretty cool when done right and the option to toggle On/Off would be a great feature! I hate that the current game industry is flooding with statements like "This will be photorealistic" or "This is better than the CGI trailer we had back in 07" Just make a game that gets blurry up close or is Cell-Shaded that hides all the bad textures and make it be fun to play. Not a chore. Here are some Fan-Made examples of a Cell-Shaded Mass Effect done by good artists on Deviant Art. This Topic is my idea for a perfect Mass Effect thats not so dark and gloomy :) Please don't take this down! BioWare I'm just showing an idea to make the game look better :)

I think I'd rather cover myself in honey and jump in a bear enclosure at the local zoo than play a cell shaded Mass Effect.

If it was an option that didn't take significant resources from other aspects of the game, then sure, why not. If it's a toggle with little commitment then sure.

The problem is I think it would take significant resources to put into effect, resources better spent elsewhere.

I'm all for interesting graphics and not slavishly trying to be realistic -- games age better and don't look as creepy when they're more stylized, and I really enjoy artistic tricks -- but I'm not sure cell-shading screams sf quite as much as I'd like.

That being said, Mass Effect more or less has a look, even if it's not particularly fascinating.

Just give it a year or so till the announcement that Telltale is going to do their thing to Mass Effect, eventually every relevant pop culture entertainment IP will be done by over hyped Telltale.

As tempting as many time it is I would prefer not, simply because this is not damn YouTube and then this forum would take next level of "worst one" because it would be filled with pure trolls and stalkers that would stalk if you said something to tick them off in order to downvote you( in another words this if forums we would have then -coughs- http://tera-forums.enmasse.com/forumsand trust me you do not want that lol)

LOL you obviously haven't visited the Battle.net forums. It is a sewer of sewers. People's posts are getting reported left and right just because someone has a different opinion to yours. And one particular loser is always going around reporting EVERY post in bot-related threads just because he's tired of them. The mods have literally thousands of reports to go through every week, if not every day. It's hilarious.

Oh and you're not allowed to say anything negative about Blizzard, only brown-nosing is allowed.

lol trust me I know way too much 'bad forums' since I play lot of mmo games and as such I know definition of how bad forums look like since pretty much 99% of MMO forums are just troll forums, I mentioned eme forums as honorable guest because I got reminded 1h ago what happens if you actually make topic discussing game that isn't troll thread and how many stalkers you will get in just 1 min that will start down-voting every one of your posts in history you made.

I'll join the chorus of No, but I wouldn't mind seeing Telltale do something like Tales from the Borderlands for the Mass Effect setting.

Would buy.

while I appreciate the art style of Cell shaded graphics I don't think it really meshes well with games that have a focus on both story and action. I loved the first two Borderlands but they weren't exactly top tier quality games. BioWare aims for top tier quality and as such its better to focus on a style that they are familiar with than something as alien as cell shading.

I don't necessarily play games for its graphics. I think ME1 was a decent looking game. ME2-3 were leaps and bounds above ME1. However, shell/cell shading gets a no from me. I don't think it would work in the ME Universe. Maybe a spinoff, like some suggested developed by TellTale Games, or a mobile app companion.

yeah I'd rather Bioware sticks with what they know tbh. Whilst I do think there are areas of the games that do need improving I'm confident thaqt Bioware are on the right track to achieving it. I hope that certainly with MEA they'll get closer because for me DAI wasn't far off for me in achieving those objectives

Err... that's rather specific, and extreme.
