Anders was right. Now that the abominations have been dealt with, the surviving mages want to kiss my Warden. Literally.

Btw,this is the guy that tells you about too much lyrium making templars go mad. And the reason why Caroll is a bit funny for a templar.

This dialog foreshadows what happens to Caroll in Inquisition. I missed it the first time, so imagine my surprise replaying Origins many years later and learning about it now.

I've never done the lyrium quest (usually don't have the coin) but I'll have to try it sometime.

Nor have I.. I do recall the cowardly mage though..

Is this quest a mod?

Well worth doing. For an investment of just 20 gold, you can potentially make a whopping 104 gold pure profit. Personally I'd never miss the quest.

Thank you very much!

I've talk to that guy but, refuse to listen to his offer.

I shall do that quest in game 15 and I am planning on using  a female Brand. Should be rather interesting seeing she once a enforcer for Beraht. Should be a slap Jarvia's face as well.

^THIS.  My canon may be an M!Surana, but my two favorite Origins are Brosca and Tabris.  Particularly F!Brosca and F!Tabris.

That takes a high level of persuasion, though.  I haven't tested, but you probably need at least 3 points in Coercion and high Cunning for that to work.  Still, it's a very profitable quest.

It's a ton-o-fun.  I especially like making Rogek pay up after extorting just that little bit more from Godwin.

I typically max out Coercion as a matter of course, to the extent of prioritising it over other skills. Not sure about the cunning requirement. The last time I did it was around three weeks ago on an experimental hybrid-specced Rogue in heavy plate, with high strength, and around 18 cunning and it worked fine.

I try to do this too, provided it makes sense for the character.  And apparently Coercion just acts as a multiplier for Persuade/Intimidate checks, so Cunning is less of an issue than I'd thought.  You do need to have someone in your party with Stealing to get the 20 gold back from Rogek without killing him, but that's both obvious and easily taken care of if you recruit Leliana in Lothering.

Neither have I but then that's mostly because I can't afford it at least not without making sacrifices elsewhere.
