By working in a slaughterhouse. Kosher slaughter requiers us to not taze the animal but to simply use the knife to slit its throat. You were saying how cuting someones throat is silent and what not. Its not. Its messy. Its noisy. Special forces simply use silencers. A shot to the brain is faster than anything

But an energy / shock Sword from the future could just slice through a person as easy as your hand moves through air.

Biggest problem with future swords is that they shouldn't exist when you can hold a sword in your Omni tool's replicate system and then don't have to worry about drawing, storing, or hiding it.

But people like the idea...

There's only one sword that has any place in a gunfight, and it doesn't belong in Mass Effect.

That being said, this is a stupid thread.

As much as this post disgusts me, this.  Our food has to come from somewhere, and I salute you.

Eating animals isn't a necessity.

they are. at least one cerberus ship was sighted.

Wrong.

Could yes, but the setting is not set up like that yet. I don't have a issue with melee existing but it being so good it's a primary attack form instead of a backup breaks the settings verisimilitude IMO.

Please watch this, its the only Youtube video showing it that I can find.

The knife is so sharf it almost severs the head with a single touch.

Kill starts at 1:25

See how long it takes the animal to die

NSFW

Please don't post that sh## on here. Thank you.

In someone's fictional "leak", yes. But we're talking about confirmation for the actual game, of which there has been none.

Also, it looks like the omni-blade is returning (at least it is based on the reveal trailer), so we are getting swords.

where I come from it's against the law to kill animals without stunning them, it's not even granted for halal slaughtering

There is a difference between melee and sword wielding

What the man proposed is that knives and swords should be in the game for silent kills.

I dont think he will use stunners before he slits an enemy soldiers neck. I used the video in that regard to show that it is neither silent nor quick. And please edit out the link since I just put it up temporarily

I still say that they wouldn't reuse assets in that way.

They would just make them blocks or something.

And enemy soldiers you propose to "silent" kill with a knife will be taken to a slaughterhouse and tazed? Tied as well? This animal was tied. If it wasnt it would have been kicking around like a human would. Human would also make horrible sounds, probably louder than this. And just dont use silence excuse for knives.

You have a full body shielding in form of kinetic barriers.
Now you want a small hand held shield as well? Play Captain America XD?

That's why they should let us customize our powers and melee weapons. Everyone gets what they want!

Except the ones with the "I don't want it so no one should have it" mindset of course.

Personally I really like the Slayer but mostly because of his palm blaster and teleport dodges rather than the sword.

Yes and a difference between existing and being so developed its a primary attack form. Where you look at a wall of weapons and your top choice is a melee weapon.

because that's how it works in games, breaking someone's neck in a game is really easy too, they never struggle or anything. Everyone but the main character + crew dies from 1 shot to the leg, nobody can be saved by medi-gel when you encounter them in the fields ... there are some things that are game logic that would never work in the real world or make a lot of sense for that matter

And plus, they have an interest in letting other people know when something is wrong.   So...

What I'm saying is that a person TRAINED to use a sword doesn't make mistakes in killing people! They know where to point the sword and how to kill a person quick like decapitating an enemy.

I like ME for the fact that they make sense. Weapons are not OP, everything is explained. But going back to medieval style of combat with sword and shield, when people around are capable of creating black holes at will and have full body shielding trough kinnetic and biotic barriers, its just... unreasonable

in the first 10 minutes of ME3 alone Shep should have been heavily bruised with 1 or more broken bones so no, it doesn't always make sense xD
