On my squad select screen it lists Grunt as Loyal. I've done his personal quest, and talked to him as often as possible.

However, on the screen where I distribute talent points for the squad, I cannot put any points into Fortification... it tells me he's not loyal.

What gives?

Wow...... missed this thread because I just posted my own about this exact issue. I wonder if it has anything to do with the game update from yesterday afternoon. I really hope they see the issue and make a patch for it real quick. Grunt is one of the mainstays in my ground teams (barring loyalty missions).

lol..guess we need more avatars...look at that... btw there is a patch for mass effect 2. Why not link your console to the internetz and just update?

I already dl'ed the update, and it didn't fix the bug with Grunt's Loyalty skill.

As far as the avitars go...you're REALLY surprised a thread about the Krogan being screwed up has people with Krogan Avitars?
