If you want to be successfull at trolling, you need to be able to make people think that there's a tiny possibility that you actually might be serious. That means you can't trash Claymore, because the moment you do it, everyone knows that you're merely joking.
But the Talon is still better than either of em. Or any of em. It's just better at everything than everything else. It's the thing everything else is trying to be better than. It's even better than this argument I'm making about why it's better. It's that better.

I don't care if you think this is obvious trolling. This thread has had some of the best, on-topic, and fun to read discussions of the last few months. With the mods going on banhammer on everyone, and destroying threads, people have started getting down and grumpy. And here, people look like they're having fun, in a totally on-topic and mod friendly way. I feel that this tread is exactly what the forum needs right now. And I'm enjoying reading it.

Quarian weapons rule. IMO, the lancer straddles a line between annoying and ineffective. I'm OK with relatively ineffective weapons that are satisfying to use (Graal), and I'm also good with annoying weapons that are effective (Reegar, Arc Pistol). But the lancer is kind of annoying, and not really that effective... so... NUTS!

My problem with the Graal is that when my Krogan runs at a mook with the Graal charged in order to melee them, too often the charged shot to the face kills them outright and I'm left meleeing the air. 
No, but it's good. Its low weight, big clip, infinite ammo and good dps makes me use it more than the Harrier actually. It's my default weapon on the turian sentinel and Cabal. I'm not sure why you compared it to the Claymore though, since this shotgun is not in the holy trinity of the best weapons aka Arc pistool, Wraith and Talon.

Like other projectile weapons, it's quite slow to take down bosses, because no multiple hits.
Arkhne, you had to know the consequences of mentioning the claymore. Trolls are usually easy to sniff out but with you I am left wondering if you are really resourceful at it or just inadvertently inciting shotgun rival dumpster fires.
While I sense you meant what you said in a different way, I actually love that comparison! *_*I suppose...if you give a crap about getting gud with the side cannon from an 18th century naval warship - the claybore weighs as much and has the same shot capacity and reload speed (unless you're on a windoze box).
Wait, are you saying that the Lancer is deadly on full auto too?! 'cause that's OP and needs a nerf.

For casters (and Volus) the Lancer X is a great gun, for non casters (Infiltrators, the Destroyer, etc) there are better choices

I really don't think it's the fault of the mods even tho they issue the bans and close threads. They don't even hang around this section that much. Everyone knows it's snakes reporting everything. Even the most harmless of threads
