Given that I spent literally five minutes in a fight with an ogre during The Descent, the mere thought of how many hitpoints they would bestow upon a golem--creatures renowned for their durability--makes me throw up in my mouth a little.

Did anyone else encounter the magical barrier with a million hit points? At Citadel Du Corbeau in the Exalted Plains, I think the trials made a glitched magical barrier in one of the ramparts areas and I tried all the magical attacks, thinking it was bugged to not accept opposite attacks. But then I hovered over the target and watched, to my horror, as it actually WAS reducing in health.... It just had an INSANE health bar I've never seen before and it took me like ten minutes to destroy irl

Yeah, the trials treat barriers as enemies... I had to turn that off a couple of times (Walk Softly, I believe).

I got the insane barrier at the back door entrance to Griffon Wing Keep. Figures, the one time I remembered to use that entrance.

I miss Shale.
Here's hoping we meet her as a dwarven woman in Tevinter in DA4. In the best ending that is what she plans to do any way.

Golems in DA4 sound... super likely IMO.

Just think of a Pride Demon in Inquisition imo. Just stack +guard attack gear

Same. No-one else could insult me in quite the same way. I personally wanted to see dwarves either with or without Golems in DAI depending on your choice in DAO. I'm only up to What Pride Has Wrought and have done The Descent, but so far nothing ![]()

Agreed... DA:4... Rise of the Titan's Children

Golems were so cool, especially with the dark and ominous chorus music in Origins/Amgarrak (you know, the foreboding music with the slow drumbeats and low-voiced manly choir whenever something dwarven was afoot)
I did like Shayle as a companion for DAO. The golems were tough cookies to beat as well in DAO/DAA. I know they brought them back in DA 2 but were MIA in DAI.

Ha! We can use golems against Solas. He can't turn them to stone. Check and mate, Fen'Harel.
Which is why I'm hoping Shale will be a companion.
Me: "Shale, look it's a bird!"
Shale: That looks like a bald, rat faced elf to me.
Me: No, it's a bird masquerading as a bald rat faced elf.
Shale: Alright, well just in case... *squish* That settles that. Can never be to careful with those feathered fiends.

I never got the fascination with Shale, it was a boring character.

She was wickedly funny. Not to you, obviously, but to the rest of us.

At least her height is explained via dialogue. Her former master, wizard whatshisface, chiseled off chunks at his wife's request so she (Shale) would fit through the doorways.

Which is a in-joke about how Bioware had to reduce the model to fit through doors.

I remember that. I even thought it was funny on how offended Shayle was of that because at times the master sorcerer guy would be riding on her going "SHAYLE! ONWARD TO DO THIS! SAYLE! ONWARD TO DO THAT!" Shayle wished to crush him if she could. Lol.
