"Intel Graphics Media Accelerator 4500MHD"

Get a real video card.

Just because you have a PC doesn't mean any game will run on it.

What your doing there is about like expecting a PS2 to handle the graphic workload of a PS3 game  it wouldnt even be able to.

Who "told you it would be compatible for most games?"

Sure thats correct if most games include the overwhelming amount of online puzzle games and ancient 3d apps.

I told you how to fix the problem, those graphics are not going to run this game.

Yours is an issue that can be resolved by other means be it a patch or otherwise.  His is not, that media accelerator wont run crap.

how can a gfx card be that important in running a game ? I just dont understand. And when buying it from dell they told me that which you would think would be credible because if anything they would much rather you spend the extra money to upgrade to a better gfx card

I mean i would understand it would be important if you were using min system requirements in all other categories (processor speed and ram/memory) but how can an above processor speed and ram not compensate for a lack in media accelerator

Sorry, Minimum System Requirements are just that. Minimum.

As an example, if the game is built using shader model 3.0 and your graphics card will only support shader model 2.0, the game *will not run* because your card won't even be able to recognize the information. It's be like a caveman trying to read stereo instructions, the capability is just not there.

Now, as for the first line you wrote there.....WTF?!? I can't count the number of ways that a graphics card is important for runnings a graphically intensive game.

Furthermore - Never Trust Dell. The person selling you the laptop probably had No Clue what he/she was talking about.

I had originally chosen custom install to install to my gaming drive, I tried running as admin, updated video drivers, etc. Turns out, all I needed to do was select express install and let it install on my main OS drive. Runs perfectly fine now, other than it being unwilling to accept my character save imports from ME1.

XD Got the same problem, probably my graphics card too. But my question is, is there any way around it?

Everyone who has this problem should check to make sure their folder is 11.4gbs...if not you're probably missing english.rar...just import from the 2nd disc.

It didn't work for me though. D:

I see no final conclusion here for the hijacker with an 8800 GT. Did new drivers, or at least, different drivers, have any effect?  Here's a summary from the archives:

Totals = 35
Intel Chips = 5
Conflicts with languages installed = 3
Corrupted Files (mostly saves) = 4
DVD drive (two drives) conflicts = 5
PhysX setup conflict = 3
Reinstalled, worked = 3
Video driver version bad = 2
Unknown, never concluded = 10
