In that first burst of energy of this universe it is believed that Dark energy was first out by a comparatively large margin.  That in itself begs more than a few questions, but the bigger question is why dark matter then formed globules for matter to be drawn to and bring galaxies to birth.

I propose that in those first moments and maybe still that Dark energy somehow patterned the "subspace" where dark matter resides to enable these collections of dark matter and gravity did the rest for normal matter.  I also propose that what we measure as Mu0 and Ep0, constants for the speed of light in vacuum, are dependent on local dark matter.  This explains speed of light variations in empty space and some novel experiments by NRL and others.

Steven and I among many others tried to get large accelerators (texas fiasco) for some interesting experiments first was the concept of gravitational polling materials proposed by Petar Anatovski and other exotic materials, and of course synthetic black holes, but it was also felt that there is a limit, the Dark matter limit where matter under test would simply disappear, dimension slip? or dark matter creation?

That delay may have been a good thing.  While polling materials theoretically have many useful properties; black holes and dropout regions use tremendous energy and we had no clue about Dark energy creation -if it does restructure subspace -that could be a nasty, possibly End of Life surprise.  So, space is the best place for this research and some creative safeguards.

NASA seems keen on a local space station and this seems foolish as it's just too costly to haul material to stable orbit and they have been very "lucky" since apollo 13 with light weight structures, that "luck" is not likely to hold up. In fact geological pole reversals are likely due to our solar system passing through primordial space dust.  To orbital stations this is like a high velocity sand storm, for Earth the density is low low enough to be of little harm, but the Sun sees this "dust" as fuel injection and the resulting stress on the Earth's EM fields might explain pole reversals and that pattern of pole reversals the frequency of galactic dust interaction.  If true, Robust design is a must!

The practical alternative is a massive space automation program to seek out the materials and develop inertial rings.  Academia gets the advanced accelerator and telescopes and NASA gets a robust inertial platform with more than enough area for terraforming and further space research.  The robots will also need the plasma reactor,(-politics and tech removed)

We have a choice build ring stations closer to mars orbit and the asteroid belt or construction at a lagrange point.  It will take more automated machines than we have ever envisioned and push machine intelligence, but they never have to stop.  The educational boon would be tremendous, as automation interests a large part of society and more people could be involved and more directly benefit.  Mining interests, automotive, semiconductor industry and  students working toward asteroid mining and the deposition techniques, but also the network of communications are just examples of how this might progress. These technologies will also help with childcare and dementia someday soon as a savior to wandering off, but also passive security and behavior monitoring.

Take care my friends

PS ME community: I would also like you to consider before there was an illusive man, there was a quasi-government entity created by the people to save humanity and clean up the environmental mess industry and ineffectual governments have made on this little rock we call home.  They were intelligent and looked for innovative sustainable cooperative solutions, not for profit, but to save humanity - they were Cerberus! It was best to work with the bulldog as it made the evidence clear through scientific modeling and animation against polluters or anyone challenging humanity and anything could happen once the truth is known.  They also pushed the "goose chase FTL" using only the hard science of massive accelerators, as element zero did not exist to study.

I pulled that from actual research discussions much of it has been around Mars discussions and Lockheed hitting some cloaking milestones - if their ads are to be believed.  Still, it was not an engineering problem for aircraft, just one of reliability and cost and material deposition has improved in both areas.

Why is to make you think!  When mass effect was first developed we barely understood the existence of dark matter and dark energy and much has changed since then with computerized telescope mapping and improved detectors.  Additionally, there were so many questions about Andromeda that are understandable with the rushed ending of ME3.  I took it upon myself to start the script outline for a DLC mod first to look at what we know now and then some reasonable scientific extrapolation about how to move billions in space.  That went well enough tieing elements of the series to alliance R&D and a long departed Cerberus cell the "goosechase FTL" folks now modified for deep space, but it was a small group of characters and folks want more Cerberus and Alliance and want me to push the envelope with dynamic character behaviors.  So I did a few pages on what an early Cerberus might look like and how it was closely tied to Earth's military, through automation and passive surveillance in particular.  Cerberus as a proactive problem solver has some good elements for industry willing to change.  Cerberus as a covert technological terrorist cell proved a bit too much like "industrial terrorism for dummies", so trying to find a work around that still sounds viable and lets Angry Joe blow up a few things while his brother and others are tormented by the casualties.

I also needed a spark to trigger people to action and I chose:

  1. The pilgrim gene that controls antioxidant function and how persistent organic pollutants attacking DNA from old energy systems and industrial process and now oceanic municipal waste are killing us.
  2. Coal is a big part -just look at China and you understand why California is having difficulty with more stringent EPA regs.
  3. global warming projections such as costal end of life issues extrapolated from extinctions near volcanic lakes.
  4. nuclear destabilization. I was involved with explaining the "nuclear Deal" technology to friends on all sides of this fiasco.

Consider this:  Cerberus in it's beginnings was faced with the same issues we face today; corruption from within and external forces.  To battle these shortfalls in human endeavors they enlisted the game industry and a sophisticated Virtual Reality VR system to vet people on a regular basis.  There was nothing "big brother" about the process initially other than to provide a helping hand with the difficult issues it's people faced when thousands of people or even the planet itself hung in the balance.

Debriefing after a mission of any kind was designed to identify depression and conflict, explore them with modified self awareness and then push the subject to stability, but everyone had to go through the process.  This system was also part of medical observation to understand human motivations and spot illness early and together was very effective to boost moral.  Staff doctors, technicians and psychologists were under strict nondisclosure.

In difficult cases, the VR system could allow a "friend" to participate in the subject's historical recreation of the event and then follow deep trouble triggers as the system unfolded the subject's past, this is how they found that Cerberus had to be constantly responding to its community.  Analysis showed that Cerberus was destined to splinter around basic philosophical beliefs w/o compliance with complex human issues that also change.

No good deed goes unpunished:  One of the early difficulties of guided therapy with a" friend" going down an animated memory lane was "bonding".  This happened because stressful memories were imprinted with a "wing man/woman" supporting them tough difficult personal issues.  It was initially thought this finding might be useful for conflict resolution, but it was generally too powerful and BFF is an understatement!  It was also addictive in some cases.  So, an imaginary "friend" was conceived through their advancement in automated personalities that  pushed AI development.  AI development was known to be a point of division w/in Cerberus because some people could never accept artificial intelligence as Equal to humans, but true artificial intelligence was still very far off.

Just a note on the character modeling:

I also want to wrap in my work in dynamic awareness and behaviors, it's still a complicated technical can of psychotic engineered worms, but I think it has promise.  It hit me that the process of simultaneous differential equations solutions for ALSIC could be applied to characters, as they are a form of automated behaviors no different from a factory automation except in a virtual place.  Furthermore, the logic diagrams are pictures and when a video compression is done, the differential changes are new memories and behaviors, a new picture, evolving.  Combine evolving memory with fuzzy logic decisions/changes and you have some degree of a thinking process.

The sql database is for character development outside the game and it sets history and experience along with significant events and memories.  This information is compressed and processed in load time, that is the trade off - processing time.

The solutions of the systems of equations are points and lines, but the lines have dynamic properties that relate to the NPC's evolving environment and experience.

Well that depends, I mod games for different outcomes, still Liara is a favorite.  As far as this effort goes, right now I have forbidden love with one of the primary characters.  She is the positive face of Cerberus and responsible for education, outreach and diplomacy.  IRL we have also had many discussions on how to "fix" humanity from very different World perspectives, as she is a bit of a literary historian.

I want to keep this effort open, so people like yourself can participate and the issues like rising tides may be closer to home for some.  I like how "the expanse" showed liberty island inside a retaining wall and also how ignorance and greed led to deformities.  Keep in mind Virtual Reality is a big part of Cerberus from education and training to tactical.  Cerberus is hope against our detractors, well it was until we scared the pants of the young illusive man -that should be a funny development, but it is a critical element, a split over AI development.

Time frame: months after Ilos mission.

Location: on the citadel at ambassador QT

Presentation: CGI Discussion With Anderson

XXX: "Anderson"

Anderson: "whoa"

XXX: "Sorry about the cloak and dagger, Cerberus is hunting my people once again and you asked for a human presence this time"

Anderson: "Your people? The illusive man grabs technology from everyone, but you!"

XXX: It may seem so and our covert technology is quite handy, but he must never get our AI technology, as his bigotry and lust for control would drive a war worse than the Geth!  I apologise, it is a point of great concern to us.   Additionally, I've been asked to convey that we appreciate your discretion, as few know we had a hand in Mr illusive's  development or that he was the cause of our division and we'd like to keep it that way.

In any event, I delivered the improved gravimetric deck plates to the new specification, the edge effects have been reduced 30% and I brought a few automations to help with maintenance and bonding, your ship VIs can task them for repairs also.  The medical staff claim this improvement should greatly reduce geotropism deformities for Alliance crew, and our medical staff would like to help with the early disabled.

Anderson: That was quick!

XXX: yes, some of the narrow passages on the Normandy and the smaller ships were cause for worry from the beginning.

Anderson: Maybe I should give you cause for worry more often?  And the special packages?

XXX: Well, you will be the first to know we are worried, that is not to say it is a one way door.  We welcome your input more than you know.  I can only say that analysis on the Ilos packages is continuing.  The Prothean VI is still a little unstable, but I'm told repair of it's data structures is promising.  From Shepherd's record it seems mission focused; by design or truncated we still don't know, so the science staff wants to express thanks to the Covert retrieval team at your discretion, they were very thorough.  The stasis chambers involve materials that we are struggling to understand, but the mass difference is compelling as you know.  We think these units have a dark matter field isolated from the milkyway group that give them these seemingly passive properties, but that's just theory.  We are reconfiguring one of the accelerators for mass spectrom analysis and that should decode the materials.  I was instructed to inform you that we will likely destroy one of the pods in this process, as at these energy levels pretty much everything is destructive analysis.  The medical staff have no report as yet and requested Liara's assistance in understanding the Prothean physiology.  I am authorized to offer you a new VI, actually based on our AI development with it's evolutionary code removed, it can still learn efficiently and can deal with encryption protocols and covert burst transmissions if you want more up to date information.

Anderson: You never disappoint.

XXX: and we can never repay the cost Mr. illusive has imposed on all of us.

Hey, some common ground.

I think the open nature of modding did more in it's years to advance technology than people give credit.  When you look at some the web based "personalities" and what was done by modders it is easy to envision the implications across society -virtual assistance for medical equipment merging tests with modeling and animation are just the beginning.

I don't get it.

It seems I am failing to communicate, we are a small group so far.  This effort is for a community driven DLC mod to Andromeda to enhance the Mass effect story as it relates to Cerberus and the Alliance and it starts at the very beginning, presumably around now.  Bioware may want to scrub it and do a new game or a movie, that's up to them.  I started it because of many open questions here, on youtube and elsewhere, my past with government and industry and my passion for modding.  I don't put everything here, but want to keep my friends at Bioware and elsewhere updated often.  Some of the topics are graduate level engineering and I don't expect people to follow, but I can share what we are attempting with those that do understand the science.

I hope that helps

Well, when you do get in the right state of mind I suppose you might want to let your mind drift over the topics and I don't mind if systems of differential equations makes you want to barf, I still have that reaction. ;-))

Time frame: late ME2

Presentation :CGI board room discussion

XXX: Admiral Anderson, I understand you wanted another report on the Ilos material;  medically there seem to be no superior medical advances to be gained, maybe in stimulants and the like, but nothing major to extend life medically.

Anderson: speculate then a stasis field? and what about the frost?

XXX: Stasis, yes of a sort, this has driven us harder to decode a material layer and we are confident that dark matter is involved and that the anchor materials are near the dark matter fallout region of our accelerators.  An odd thing though, these exotic materials have a short half life, that we would have normally discarded.  Somehow the anchoring effect stabilizes them, none of us saw that coming and it is a significant find.  We are tooling up to test this theory by depositing the anchor material and immediately following with a dark matter run and then we will do the mass spec again to confirm anchoring.  We should be able make a successful run some time next month.

As for the frost, there is an HVAC plant designed to protect the occupant from extremes, just as we have and there a few new bells and whistles, but nothing to explain the frost.  We speculate that the chamber frost is a transition state from stasis or isolated flow of time if you choose and frost collection may be proportional somewhat, to length in stasis.

Anderson: And the collector pods Shepard analyzed?

XXX: Garbage in comparison to the Prothean ones!  The Protheans must have gone to great lengths to protect the technology or as ARC put it "Reapers are too stupid to look in the right place"  Arc has a unique systems engineering point of view and considering what it does controlling millions of automations and every aspect to ring design to participating in theoretical science, that seems appropriate.  But ARC is right, we have not seen any evidence of practical high energy accelerator applications.  Yes the reapers have a wide array of accelerator based weapons, but nothing even approaching our Ring technology or evidently the Protheans.

Anderson: so your little science project settled on ARC and what about more?

XXX; For arc length and arc of the covenant among other things, but "little science project" is the wrong word.  Arc initially encompassed 1/4 of a 47 kilometer ring with computer hardware nearly a kilometer deep and kilometer across.  I think humanity holds the record for scale in computational dynamics among other things.  Since no other intelligence developed beyond the basic VI, ARC will eventually encompass the entire ring if it so chooses, but I think it wants to preserve the minds of some its old human friends.  Sort of like the ancestors of the Quarian if I understand that correctly.  The trick is, can preserve all that they were and they remain stable.  There is no going back, while we can displace a consciousness for a time it breaks down and the patterns and activity are destructively removed from their brain, so any mistakes and they are gone.

Anderson:  So they are that rare, can we improve on that?

XXX: Oddly enough ARC believes this ancestor thing is one way, funnier still perhaps is that ARC has asked me to mother an AI.

Anderson: What?

XXX: yeap I'm going to be a mother.  There are medical advances that Catherine is eager to study.  One minute she ambushes me for VR sex, the next I'm her lab rat.  Catherine is our chief surgeon and in an asteroid collision emergency, she bonded with me to do trauma surgery on the children if needed, as the automated medical bay was down.  We shared minds that day and have grown very close as a result.

Anderson: Bonding?  Can you share the details?

XXX: It was a very stressful time and one where ARC needed me or us for a change.  However, having Catherine on board in my expanded network, I moved so fast and controlled so many automations that the repairs were back to normal in hours. Then there was a methane explosion that threw me to the floor gasping for air.  Arc managed to get an emergency automation to me for oxygen and meds and Catherine guided me to inject atropine, steroids and stims.  So, I/we rushed to put out the fires from methane the asteroid carried, but the fires came too close to ARC's hardware for my liking.  Catherine helped me do diagnosis on ARC's systems and fortunately it was just an automation control node and a power conduit, important but not critical.

Anderson: that must have been traumatic and what about the children?

XXX; Fortunately, the children were in the orphanage with minor injuries for the most part and we stabilized them and locked it down quickly, but it was a hard lesson.  If we had had to make a choice between ARC and the children- It could've been much worse.  Now the orphanage goes into lockdown automatically in an emergency and has a redundant medical unit.  We have redistributed power and some of ARC's cognitive systems are now redundant on a larger scale.  Additionally, we reinforced the exterior with additional diamond sapphire and improved telemetry to detect high velocity methane ice asteroids and an automated defence system.

I thought you knew that Pod life is addictive Anderson, I am the only adult that comes and goes freely as yet, clearly that needs to change and Catherine and the medical staff are going to start rotations soon.  However, ring children have blended genes and are brought up in an orphanage of sorts, they have automations and pods to link to teachers and the like and anyone that feels parental until they are about 12 or so and can have their own pod.  So no, you are not the only reason I'm a free body, I am a father figure to them all until we can get others out of their pods to help out.

Anderson: Automated defence system?

XXX: It's an extension of the automation build and repair in combination with turrets and weaponized automations along with our synthetic black hole ports tied to the accelerators.  If the weaponized automations miss anything, the rail guns and wide spectrum lasers will and before you ask: Deep IR to UV pulsing at several kilowatt bursts and the rail gun ports can send various loads at 0.3 to 0.7 c  I will send the specifications.

Anderson: any lingering effects?  Can't have one of my best assets off his game.

XXX: Neither of us has been the same, we share echos of each other for lack of a better term and by itself that is not bad we have always been friends, but it's unnervingly hard to be away.  ARC "felt this" somehow over our link so designed an interface through itself to all Ring services and pods, it's a bit overwhelming, but the feeling of being disconnected is gone.  Collectively, the experience shocked or culture and showed some interesting neurokinetics.  I think extra processing power and memory will be on everyone's wish list.

Back to the technology:  self healing fiber optic filaments will be shot through my eyes and down the optic nerves to nested processors, they are doped to interface with the visual nervous system and enable machine vision, that's probably the worst of it, I'll be blind for a week or so.  Most of the other senses are located by PET and assessed accordingly and a my muscle augmentation implants that allow me to leave the pod freely are improved with the addition a rather small power source, location yet TBD, and then some specialized code ARC and the science department are cooking.  Theory is, it will mirror my systems in a symbiotic way for it to develop faster and I will train it until it can leave and join with ARC.

I believe there is a larger reason, learning from a host develops memory of a parent and friend and merging with ARC a new friend and parent - symbiosis on a grand scale.  I would have not expected ARC to approach the subject of reproduction or any of the philosophical debates of late, but ARC is growing and there are some deep discussions.  The Quarian/Geth war bothers ARC, we are family and ARC asks why could they not achieve this state of symbiosis?  I remind ARC about the Cerberus division, the xenophobic illusive man took about half over AI development and we became a covert research station.  Additionally, there are people on Earth that would put me on a cross and set me afire.  I also get the sense ARC's lonely, maybe those studies on low reproducibility get to ARC much like us through some equivalent of the subconscious -but here you might want to talk to someone in the field of machine and human intelligence, I'm just guessing

Anderson: I hear you and no visits to Earth without a Alliance guard from now on. Thank you, that was one hell of a report.
