What would you think to andromeda multiplayer being like starwars battlefront pvp or even the survival modes being replicated to similar to what we have coming in mass effect andromeda,
Me personally i think they should look in to the multiplayer on SWBF and maybe make the multiplayer this way or even use what they learned from this current title in andromeda.

Never, but it reminds me soo much of mass effect, the back ground as your fighting the battles in the sky above,i think that as its ea title biowear have to be taking notes or even have something simular lined up for us.

Starwars Battlefront was the abomination of the decade (when comparing it to it's namesake, as a standalone it was a decent shooter, but with that name decent is unacceptable.) The only lessons Bioware should take from it is how not to make a game. The multiplayer is repetitive and the survival mode is shallow.

If they are forced to do PvP I would prefer something more akin to a smite-esc MOBA, and as for survival they nailed that in ME3. While I didn't hate the DAI style of multiplayer I feel like the Horde mode in ME3 was better. The fact that you don't have a gigantic dungeon to work through is a plus to the casual gamer and the horde is a very simplistic style, easy to learn, took time to master, and fun to do.

While we are on it I would much rather have the RNG card system ME3 used rather than the breakdown supplies to unlock characters and outfits method used in DAI.

Yeah, funny how Mass Effect suddenly shoe horned in Multiplayer the nanosecond Bioware was acquired by EA.  So....weird.

Is ea and biowear not partners or work with eachother then these days?but as for repetative mass effect 3 online can get that way and when masterd you know were all the spawn points are, dont get me wrong i love mass effect 3 its one of my fav games ever but the visuals from starwars battlefront the sounds they must replucate this in to andromeda surley?
But for pvp in mass effect andromeda if they do go that way i wouldnt object to a starwars survival mode or simular with those visuals and sounds.

Actually going to have to stand with wolf on this one. ME3 multiplayer was fantastic, lots of free content and it allowed us to be those other species. It was a lot of fun, ya know for those of us who can enjoy things.

You just had to add in this last part didn't you?

Any who.  Yeah.   I'm happy for you.  I'm happy that people who play Mass Effect more for the PEW PEW rather than the RPG'ing got more fun out of the game than the people who actually want to enjoy RPG hybrids.  I swear, I build this log cabin in the woods and am enjoying myself and nature when all of a sudden the landowner decides he wants 50% of the land to be used for a strip mall.

"What's the matter?  You still get your log cabin!  Why can't we shop for those who want to shop?"

Because there are already a billion other strip malls throughout America for your perusing needs.   Why do you need this one too? Besides, all that noise coming in from the shoppers disrupts the wildlife. (read: the focus on the multiplayer detracts from the single player, hint hint, wink wink)

Yeah i love that game,im not knocking it im just hopeing they add pvp in to it with simularitys to starwars for me its commen sense to think that they will be alike,
Theres simularitys in the online weapons in SWBF impo just hope its a testing ground for forthcoming andromeda to be a decent game.

No MP whatsoever. So they can finally focus on the most important part: CAMPAIGN MODE.

Those persisting SP bugs of ME3 are still painful. The Aria cutscene glitches, the audio cut-off, the Leviathan ladder, the Omega bypass animation glitch, the Hanar Citadel sidequest, the sticky bridge.......I can go on all day.

Ya know I really really tried not to add that last bit, but the dark side called to me.

It was never your land to build the cabin on and that mall is really nice, its' got a roller disco and one of those fancy McDonalds inside where they serve you, with a magical vista of a log cabin.

A multiplayer done well is a benefit to the game, and even without the multiplayer bonus to war assets you could get the HWA ending, if you were thorough in your playthrough not to mention the app that let you build your readiness rating. I didn't ask for ME3MP, but it was good and I enjoyed it and honestly will enjoy it in MEA if all goes well.

This, especially the first part.

I want ME:A MP to stay as far away as possible from the current "Star Wars Battlefront" (as if its deserving of the name).

Incredibly shallow multiplayer, no distinction between characters, or races save for a minor cosmetic change.

No classes, just a card system which just makes the game even more shallow; everybody has a jetpack.

Vehicles and heroes as power ups. Instead of being a tactical element they are now 'use it or lose it' gimmicks.

People camping out at the said power up spawn points rather than going for the objectives that destroy any semblance of teamwork.

Locking the majority of the gameplay behind a $50 season pass, so if you want the complete experience you have to spend $110.

Horde mode only for two players at max, and only on a scant few maps.

No campaign or galactic conquest mode despite the pervious titles having both of those modes in addition to the standard multiplayer.

Local multiplayer is only for two people and only on the survival and training modes, while the previous games had four player split-screen on every game mode.

Etc.

What would you think to andromeda multiplayer being like starwars battlefront

500px-How-about-no.jpg

Edit: I guess I'll add in the explanation that I think Battlefront was a terrible reboot to what used to be an awesome couple of games and EA/Dice has basically torn everything good out of the old games and replaced it with something that looks and sounds pretty but is otherwise empty.

And I can't stand that mentality or the people who push for that above all else. The church of 1080p and 60fps needs to be burned to the ground (IMO).

Make a game that's actually fun to play, and actually has gameplay in it before you worry about the petty things like graphic fidelity.

I'm okay with the PC church of 60 FPS because our methods are to use overpowered hardware to make whatever they throw at us to run at 60 FPS. Our main thing is simply "Don't lock the FPS on PC or give us an in-game option to unlock it and optimize your game properly on PC".

but yeah, the whole "graphics > gameplay" thing should be nuked from orbit.

Still clinging to that age old fallacy about MP wrecking SP eh?  Have at it!

As a fellow console player I can never really tell the difference when something is at 60fps vs. 30-45fps. Now I have seen the low end of 10-15fps, but that is mostly when the game is seconds away from crashing anyway.

I would have much rather had Halo 5 with 35fps and split screen than 60fps and no split screen any day.

I see that it is still impossible to have a thread about multiplayer without attracting the anti-MP brigade. And that the incorrect belief that MP takes away from SP still abounds, even though they are entirely different teams and entirely different budgets and that, no, if MP didn't exist that doesn't mean SP would suddenly get all those resources. Enough game devs have actually blogged about this that it's sad to see the rumors still persist.

That rant aside, I would be happy just to have something like ME3MP again. That ended up being an unexpected treat and, honestly, one of my favorite game modes of recent memory - and I went into it being one of those unhappy, pitchfork wavers wary about MP "butting into" my SP experience. And then, shockingly enough, found out I could actually have fun with both. And ended up logging way more hours in MP than SP. Whoda thunk it?

I haven't played Star Wars Battlefront, so I can't comment on that.

I definitely hope BioWare has taken a few lessons/observations on what didn't work with DAIMP so that mistakes aren't repeated in MEAMP. Given the choice, I much prefer the set maps and spawn points of ME3MP rather than a dungeon slog, and I also much prefer the RNG loot system of ME3MP (where you eventually unlock everything if you play long enough and what you unlock gets stronger as you unlock better upgrades) as opposed to DAIMP's system of continuously unlocking low level crap and scrapping it to... not really be able to build anything better. Massive amounts of "meh" from me on that one.
