Would be cool if the main characters were related

There was just one Shepard last game? Unless you are talking about mom Shepard that Spacer Shepards had.

While I can understand why fans are keeping insisting on Shepard. He/she is dead, their story is over and it has been confirmed Andromeda takes place in completely different galaxy in where Shepard didn't even exist, plus events will take time much later after Shepard.
So I don't see how protagonist and Shepard can be related(like bro and sis) at all.

There also was the clone, quite a relative if you ask me.
Answering to OP - no, BW are not into incest anyway.

He wasn't talking about how Shepard could be related to the new protagonist. It was about two new main protags being related (male and female Pathfinder)...

I like the idea, because I'm always open for more storytelling.

I could be wrong but i don't think Hex is suggesting that the new character be related to Shepard. I think by 'two Shepards' s/he is talking about mShep and femShep, and suggesting that which ever gender character we don't play as would be the PC's sibling.

I think the OP is saying 2 versions of the protagonist who are related to each other, not Shepard.
That sounds a little too DA2 for my liking...with Carver and Bethany I feel penalized for being a mage cause then I have to put with that miserable git Carver, so I'm more tempted to be a rogue/warrior just to get Bethany.
Choosing between a brother/sister may inevitably mean that one path is better than the other, and that would suck. If done right it could be good I guess?

I don't mind that at least.
Any kind of Shep related stuff would be cheesy, but since that's not the case, whatever.

Interesting. Funky picture. Is this from the N7 day video on Andromeda?

Damn, just beat me to it ![]()
And i sort of like the idea as too, done well it could be interesting. In DA2 they did something similar with the siblings (only one would survive - which depended on if you were a mage or not), and in Fallout 4 which ever gender you don't pick still exists as the PC's husband/wife.
If they did do something like this I'd hope that the character dies pretty close to the start - I think it might bug me a little if a potential player character had too much of a defined personality.

There was no relation between the 2 Shepards in the last ME games. With this game it would be cool if the 2 main characters were brother and sister. Maybe the one you dont pick gets killed in the beginning by the villian, making the story more personal for the character you create.
Um...what are you even on about?! The Shepard clone was a CLONE.

Interesting picture. Never noticed the adult and it looks like two kids.
Maybe the character in the trailer that they said was not your pc, is some kind of fraternal twin of the PC, and they're looking for you...for reasons. In Andromeda.
Regardless of any of that, though. I like the cozy feeling of the cockpit. There's the dogtags and the pic taped to the side. And a great view.

While an interesting idea, it is not one I want. I'd rather have a protagonist who is more a blank slate than predefined, and having a family connection would do just that, like they did for Hawke which many people did not like.

The OP is a little confusing, especially the part where you said, "There was no relation between the two Shepards in the last ME games."
I think I follow. You're talking about whether the protagonist chooses male or female, and doing something similar to Fallout 4, where the gender you select dictates which of two characters you play, right?
You might want to just add a little more to the topic description, because people might keep mistaking your point otherwise.
