Um... hate and destruction aren't traits exclusive to humanity. Elves, dwarves and qunari can do it just as well. Also, the creation of Veil and the destruction it inflicted upon the elves, that was an elf's fault. No human was responsible for that catastrophe.

Me thinks I was recalling the days of my youth and seen what humans could do to each other.

My vote still stands as humans being more destructive. I never read or seen in any game where the Dalish purged a human city just because they could nor have I've read or seen where elves kidnap, then brutalized human females as 'party whores' and then killed them.

Read where the humans killed a elf for no reason other then being a elf.

The reason I don't like playing as a Shem because humans very nature is to destroy  and hate. So far in just about every RPG game or fantasy book I've read the route of the problem was a human.

Elf fans...

Thank the Maker Inquisition expanded the lore so it's obvious that Elves are really good at all those human things as well. Heck, if Solas' story about Falon'din is to be believed, they may have been way better at it than humans. Or read some of the codex entries in Trespasser.

I'm guessing that Tidus didn't play Trespasser... or read the scroll at the end of the "Knights' Tomb" quest. The Second Exalted March was a total mess from one end to the other, but it began because a Dalish clan attacked an unarmed human because the human was carrying a bouquet of flowers and the Dalish thought it was a weapon. I'm not saying that the humans were completely blameless, but history has given them more than their due.

People are people. And people can be arseholes. DA Elves aren't excluded in this fact whatsoever. I'm sure if the Dalish had won the Second Exalted March they likely would of done something just as reprehensible as the alienages.

Hell, the Dalish believing that the mire presence of humans is responsible for the quickening might push them to something even darker...

Uh...what?  "Social justice" is inherent in creating oppressed minorities.

That is true, you may have explored the oppressed minority enough... I had not.

And then - not only do they wipe out anything interesting about these elves to supplant it with fantasy tropes... they do it in the most hackneyed way (with a super mage uber-elf rat god).

I'd have preferred Briala a MILLION times over Solas... and I thought even she was ridiculous and poor storytelling.

I kinda wonder if we'll even be given the option to play as an elf in the next game, considering what's going on in Thedas right now. I'm sure that all the elves aren't leaving to join one faction or another, but enough of them are to make me think that the ones who remain will be under a lot of scrutiny. But that's an entirely different subject, I suppose.

One more thing to blame Solas for.

Speaking of the Solas elf faction it would be interesting if Cilian and Abelas (if alive) would be high members of the group

Abelas? Probably. But I seriously doubt that Cillian would join Solas. Cillian reveres the past, but he poured too much of himself into protecting his people, a modern Dalish clan, for me to think that he'd risk them for the sake of Solas's conscience.

All of that could've been a ruse similar to Charter :P

Charter, who took over Leliana's position (together with Scout Harding and Rector)? AFAIK, she didn't join Solas.

I believe in Trespasser Solas said she was one of his spies in the Inquisition

He was talking about the pale-blond elf who got in the tussle with the Orlesian servant (who was also an elf) over the barrel of gatlok, I think. Charter's epilogue slide for all endings has Leliana grooming her to take over the position of spymaster. Solas never named which servant was his agent. Yeah, if this were RL, Solas would have to be a fool to compromise his own agent, but then, there are no elves in real life, nor gatlok, eluvians, or the Veil. There are spymasters, but they don't usually advertise it the way they do in Inquisition.

Charter is voiced by the same actress that does the VO for Anora. Solas' agent had a different VA.

The modern day Dalish don't have the power to purge a human city.  But the fall of the Dales started with just such an event.  And the Dalish will certainly give serious consideration to killing any random human out of hand who happens to stumble across their camp site.

That's protecting their camp from discovery..

In DA:O you have a option kill the three humans or let them go.. If you kill them the Keeper not to happy about that since you stirred up a hornets nest. She also says they could attack the village but, they risk having the human King to send soldiers.

When your group arrives at the Dalish camp they are not shot on sight even though Mithra warns you about having  arrows pointed at you.  Of course if your warden is Dalish, Lieutenant  Mithra is excited to see a Dalish Elf as a Grey.

In DA:2 The Elven clan doesn't kill your group on sight either.

Doesn't sound like stone cold killers to me.

They kinda do, at least with the kill three humans or let them go example. They're just smart about it.
