So I was playing and Cole just came up to me and gave me the spill and then left . . . left. I wasn't really offended or anything though I didn't see it coming, but I never use him much so eh. This is the first time I had a companion leave me (trials on) and now i'm wondering how many of you had a companion leave you during genuine gameplay?

Meaning you were just playing casually and you thought you were doing good but obviously not. Anybody?

None for me. I always play a goodie-two shoes.

No one left during DAI for me.

Anders abandoned my party in DA2 after I scratched his back too hard with my knife.

I think it's super hard to get companions to leave you if you don't micromanage and really go out of the way to get companions to hate you in the game without trials. Worst I've gotten was just not get a couple of companion missions because I couldn't get their approval high enough, even when playing as my evil character. I've had the option to kick Dorian out and punched Solas in the face which is pretty close though.

With Trial of the Lover on it's really easy to have either Cole or Dorian leave. If you do anything other than ally with the mages one of the two starts with a hidden -20, which becomes -40 after the trial. With the leaving threshold set to -35...

None. I fished for disapproval points in one play through to get as many companions to leave as possible.

Now I'm wondering if it's possible to get all of them to leave, you know besides Solas, Cassandra, and probably Varric. Or if there's a limit.

You can really only get three of them to walk out on you: Blackwall, Cole, and Dorian if you punch him. Sera can only be kicked out.

Tidus (my male Elf) or Camine(my female Elf) are good folk that values their friends and companions so, nobody left in my two DA:I games or in my current DA:I game.

The only time I have had a companion leave on their own volition was on my third character. The aggressive, kind of a douche (at first, he grew more mellow and considerate over time) warrior Trevelyan managed to ruffle Blackwall's feathers so much that the guy decided to dump his grumpy ass. It was before the Fade quest too. Blackwall would have been happy to see the Wardens join the Inquisition but alas... =P

My second character also had a companion leave but that was because she ordered it. Roleplayed as your typical "proud Dalish", she didn't get along with Sera at all and when Sera confronted her with the "So you're being a ******" -speech, it was the end of that companionship.

Sera rarely gets recruited anymore for me but, if I decide I want Pel Harmond, she gets booted after that. Never managed to keep Cole in any Templar playthrough. He leaves when I do an anti mage play. Dorian has left twice but, he sticks better than Cole. Blackwall left once on my "I'm selfish and want to rule the world" playthrough where I conscripted mages, exiled wardens, executed and jailed whomever possible.

I was playing a mage who was pro Templar when Cole left me as well. He stuck around longer than I thought, I was getting nothing but Disapproves from him, guess he had enough after the ball.

How did the 'selfish I want to rule the world' playthrough go, I've always been curious about that option.

I can't get anyone I want to leave to go away.  I  can only punch Solas and have Viv rearrange my furniture.  Viv hated my favorite inquisitor.  She was an adamantly pro-mage freedom mage.  She was friends with Solas though.  I have one mage whose PT I've not finished who is on the road to punching Solas.  I've kicked Cole and Blackwall out of the inquisition - but not in the same game.  I'd never not have an inquisitor be friends with Dorian though.  I heart him.

No companions have left for me in Inquisition, I always try to get everyone's approval. It's actually not that difficult to stay friends with everyone.

I had Sera hit a low the last time I recruited her after the ball, and I ended up booting her because that was the only response that made sense for how I'd been playing that Inquisitor, and my second Inquisitor left Blackwall in prison. Otherwise, anyone who's been recruited sticks it out with the Inquisition.

It's shockingly easy to get Cole to leave. All you need to do is turn on Fair Weather friends and conscript the mages. Depending on your Inquisitor acceptance speech, he may be out the door before he's even officially in the party.

That said, I've never had anybody leave, although I had a hard time getting Blackwall's personal quest once. You have to have fairly high approval with him, and that was the playthrough I conscripted the mages and banished the Wardens. I was eventually able to get him up to 100% approval, but it took a lot of effort (and about 6 hours worth of looking for darkspawn on the Storm Coast). I'm a sadly insecure player, and I must get everyone up to 100% by the end of the game, even if I'm not all that crazy about them. Yes, I know how pathetic that is.

I enjoyed playing it, more or less aggravated everyone except Vivienne, she was the least upset with my Quizzy that game, and Cullen who married her but, I think he was just terrified to refuse her anything at that point.

Just play it with the attitude of proving you are a better God than Corepheus. After all, that last battle with him is to decide who is really the new God of Thedas, right? (Okay so that Quizzy took that a bit too seriously but, hey, that's the fun of  replaying the game, you CAN do stuff like that..)

I know how you feel. I do the exact same pathetic thing... I must get 100% with everyone or I will not be happy.

I like being friends with everyone and i don't see the sense in kicking anyone out on purpose.

Two playthroughs my human inquisitors punch Solas but he stayed.

My male elf who romanced Dorian kicked out Blackwall

I am running a dwarf who kicked out Iron Bull and a female elf who kicked out Cole.

I ran a character who kicked out Vivianne but I don't remember which.

How do you kick out Vivienne? I thought the worst she can do is rearrange your furniture.

Viv is unkickoutable. I purposely made her angry to the point of hate redecorating and she never left. She refuses to leave.  She will just say snakry things about how you've messed everything up.  You also cannot kick out Solas, Varric or Cassandra.

Eh, I'm too generous. An Inquisition playthrough has to be worth it for me to run through it, 'cause that game is literally time consuming and I better get my time's worth.
