^ I think part of the problem comes of the fact that we are watching/reading Thedas passively, rather than actively playing a Dragon Age game, so there just isn't the same sort of connection. I think the novels are a bit better because they are longer and more detailed.

And when the first 3-4 pages of a new issue are taken up talking about what happened in the last issue, that doesn't leave a lot of room for new developments. It's only been a month.....I think we can remember what happened. ![]()

I think it's meant as a sort of "Last time on Magekiller" type of episode recap. While that is fine for television, 15 seconds of screen time is a lot different than a few pages, or comic panels. And too, it's not like the readers of these comics can't pull out their previous issue very easily and skim over it to refresh their mind.
But enough negativity. I am curious to see how their involvement in the Inquisition is played out, particularly as this is an entirely new thing, and we as the Inquisitor have never heard of this pair before. Granted, we don't know the name of every Tom, Dick, and Harry in the organization, but the war table missions were rife with all sorts of names, so we do know some of the more prominent folks.

This was discussed earlier in the thread, around page 8 if you're interested.Gonna ask this here since I saw in one of the previews there was a fade rift in these comics. What happens to fade rifts not closed by Quizzie? Do they stay open constantly releasing demons into the world?
Here:
The Inquisitor is the only one who can close Rifts, but there are alternatives. The Bull's Chargers, for instance, were able to bury leftover Rifts and demons at Adamant by collapsing the fortress into rubble.
Whatever is in the wagon probably has something to do with Marius' plan.

Yes and no. Yes, they stay open, and will continually spew demons until closed. This was evident in Crestwood and the Exalted Plains. But the Fade Rifts always keep some demons close by in order to guard them.
Marius doesn't close the rift, but he finds a way to keep the demons at one rift contained.

Still wondering, how are Marius and Boba Fett alike? Also which Boba Fett they ment when they said Marius would be like him?
I would assume that they are both mercenaries-for-hire/bounty hunters.

You know, it would have been so awesome if this scene pulled from something in the actual game.
Imagine if the Inquisitor had come upon this huge ice barrier in Crestwood and had to find a way to bring it down in order to properly close the rift. Then we get to this comic and see just how that ice barrier was put it place.
I'm still not really sure how Marius got on the other side to be rescued, since it seemed like he was going to be trapped in there. And in case anyone was wondering, this is the stuff they used. I never make traps or poisons/potions in DAO, so I just sell all that crap and forgot it was an actual thing.

The barrier was then shattered, but Tessa was able to grab Marius and haul ass out of there.
The Fade Rift is still there, but Marius and Tessa were able to save the civilians that were pinned down by it.

Well, yeah, but there are plenity of mercs and bounty hunters on fiction, I'm just curious why they compare him with that particular bounty hunter who's mostly recognized for being a badass looking but nearly irrelevant character that died on a really stupid way.

So, other than rocks that can be kept in barrels and create walls of ice, there are now potions that can make you immune to fire.
This all sounds incredibly useful, not just for fighting mages but just normal fire. Or producing drinkable water.

Well, it's not like there aren't fire resistance potions in the games... Hah, I did like Dorian's "I'll light you first," line.

I think that might be the stuff Tempest's use. Mind you I thought they just smashed that stuff on their bodies, but maybe you can drink it too.
As for the Boba Fett thing. I think its the idea that Marius is the strong silent type and his concept art had him in full robes and face mask.

^ Damn, I didn't even notice that. CAN'T UNSEE.
As for the fire being like Sera's tempest ability, Dorian is the one who sets Marius on fire, not the potion.

Other than it involving potions, it reminds of how the enchant weapons spell worked on Dog in DAO.

I think Marius already has some product, just has no idea how to use it... or he is trying to jumpstart this whole '' spiked bangs '' trend and I am NOT into it.
