The funny thing is that floating boulders might actually work in the Mass Effect universe, so long as they're partially made out of eezo. The only issue would be electricity to power the mass effect. So you probably wouldn't have permanently floating rocks, but could potentially have them after a lightning strike.

Just don't get anywhere near those rocks then, since to keep them up the electromagnetic field required would cause the iron from every cell in your body to be ripped out of you.

Lightning storms on Thessia must be fun.

So I really actually like this (yes I know, Star Wars, but still).

rey_star_wars_by_elias_chatzoudis-d9lpgi

It's feminine, without being girly. It's functional and pragmatic while still being pretty and has a touch of whimsy. And it would look good in a variety of fabrics too.

If I could have found something similar from a different franchise I would have, but it's a nice outfit and I really think it has merit.

That's not amour... A needle would be able to penetrate it, it should have the ability to stop bullets.

Then don't make it armor, or wear it over armor.

I believe a good sign of female armor is that you cannot tell it's female armor.

I never said it was supposed to be armour. Does this thread not also apply to casual clothes?

Eh, it wasn't ridiculous but definitely noticeable.

I see it, I just don't really see anything objectionable about it. The size looks average to me. There are lots of real women with curvier chests than the ME1 design, after all. And we didn't do it on purpose.

::shrug:: It's a shame we can't adjust the body type.

I agree it's theoretically possible in the setting and I've said as much in othe threads. I just think they are moving more towards rule of cool and if in won't have a reason for it.

The rule of cool is a reason itself. As far as I'm concerned, it's contributed more to visual medium than it's detracted.

It absolutely does apply. I said right in the OP to contribute any hopes, "however broad or minor." I also mentioned non combat clothing specifically.

I loved what they did with her costume in that film. It was flowy and very graceful, but it also suited her environment and it let her move. It hinted at her role as a jedi, gave her a contrast with other characters (especially the antagonist), and it looked cool in a fight scene. The costume designers knew what they were doing.

Precisely, thanks love.

Exactly, and I feel like it can be adapted to almost any environment! If that was done in a mint green silk it would be elegant and perfectly suited to diplomacy situations.

Mint Green you say?

What about Olive Drab?

I think that suits diplomacy just fine.

Male or Female, the best armours are sleek, light and form-fitting, even better if it comes with a hood.

Fashion > Protection

I'd like to believe that, since we are Pathfinders, we are supposed to do recon. Therefore, i don't think like we should be...

Potentially rule of cool can add things. But if it doesn't fit the setting its attempt is cool but it ends up being like that kid you feel sorry for in school who is desperately trying to be cool and fit in with the cool kids but instead is just lame and getting mocked behind his back. That's floating rocks without a reason.

what armor you wear should entirely depend on your combat style. You want to be well protected at all times but light armor only gets you so far. So I'd rather have Protection > Fashion.

Oh my gosh, you've seen it. I bet it's completely enchanting.

That it is. :)

I know, you aren't a big fan of large chest sizes in video games, but I didn't think there was anything egregious or oversized about FemShep, or that her bust was being used to sexualize her. She still looked athletic to me.

I don't object to large breasts in video games - or anywhere else. I just get really tired of the focus on T&A in media, and especially tired of the big breasts == sex stereotype (hello, Isabela).

Of course, I'm also really, really tired of having everyone from coworkers and colleagues to teachers, waiters, and other random strangers gawk at my chest.

Also,
Y96QoWb.jpg

that isn't merely form-fitting. It is a detailed sculpture, and Shepard would have needed to have made a mold of her breasts in order to get one made to fit like that - and I have to ask, for what purpose? So she can run around the battlefield all lookee my ta-tas? If it isn't sexualized, then why isn't the male Shep version equally sculpted and molded?

I also suspect that some of us have become so accustomed to the sexualization of women in media that we don't even notice it anymore.
