Like von uber states, MEA has to live up to the sheer beauty that is ROTTR:

Also, in terms of boob armour, I love how Tiberium (may it rest in peace) handled the difference between Vega and Gallagher's ICS armour:

As an aside, I'd love an ME-ified version of that armour...  I was soooo looking forward to that game before they decided to can it.  :(  Further, the aesthetic of the world presented would be amazing for a truly alien world:

That would be fantastic. Do you think you'd prefer it if they went through that kind of transformation willingly, or if they were somehow coerced/forced into it?

I haven't given it much thought, but maybe a little of both? Some billionaire for example who goes Tony Stark and gets involved in the Reaper War, only to get critically injured. S/he then uses the tremendous resources at his or her disposal, or some underling empowered to make that sort of decision, to do whatever is necessary to save his or her life, but at the cost of losing part of their humanity.

I think I'd like if the character was wrestling with the issue of what it means to be human, or whether the person s/he used to be died on that operating table. Stuff Shepard should have been wrestling with in ME2, basically.

You know which kind of planet we haven't visited yet? A wandering one. No sun, no athmosphere, just an empty landscapes as far as your light can show. And ruins. Could be nice place for a horror mission.

So more environment- being an open (ish) level really helps here, as it means you can have amazing skyboxes as well as near stuff, something I think DA:I should have been rather than acres of bleh and encounters. I hope ME:A steers away from that approach to building a world.

Plus Lara is a badass:

And I don't understand it, I chose all the Paragon options and then got **** blocked :P

Spoiler

There is no-way ME:A is going to look this good. As noted on the system spec thread, Bioware is often a generation behind on graphics, but its art direction hides a multitude of sins.

Plus THAT HAIR. Seriously Bioware, come on!

That does look very cool.

It looks like a cave of some sort as well. An underground portion could be interesting, so long as just like the concept art, isn't all just mud and bare rock. I love that the concept art has plenty of alien-looking life on the cavern walls.

Could lead to having some very interesting skyboxes as well.

You really know how to get to me :P jajajaja i love everything about this. Specially those goggles <3

If you had a robot companion in the game, what would you want it to look like?

I always had a love for "simple" things. Concerning robots, the one i like the most is R2-D2..i just appreciate every single thing about it. I think not even Johnny 5 from Short Circuit can compare to R2.
Probably has something to do with facial features. Never thought about it.

I'd prefer if we could get away from AI constructs having a gender, so no boobs, no bulge, no glossy, fake humanoid body.  If you have to have one that looks somewhat human, make it like Inspector Gadget.  :D

ETA: R2 is my favorite droid ever, as well.  You don't need to look human to be awesome!

I would like it to look and have the personality of 031 Exuberant Witness. She was adorable and awesome.

I'd definitely go with this one, the most sleek robot design ever seen in scifi:

Spoiler

But in all seriousness, I always thought in terms of their physical design, the androids from the Alien franchise straddled the line between organic and synthetic in a way that was really interesting. They were completely synthetic, of course, but they had no conventionally 'robotic' looking parts, and had a tendency to spew milk everywhere whenever they got dismembered (which was a lot). At a certain point, you run out of ways to do "vaguely anthropomorphic looking robotic skeleton thingy," so it might be an interesting alternative aesthetic to go with something more like what we saw in the Alien films. Also, this:

RotTR looks great even on XB1. That game actually felt Next Gen. I'm still dubbing it the best overall game this generation (so far).

I don't know if MEA will look that good. As it'll be a larger overall game.

I could totally see her as a former subject of military experiments.

And definitely a stoic badass.

that first bit might run too close to Jack, I'd rather we didn't get retreads of characters, but I'm not sure we will

I imagine ME:A is gonna try really hard to evoke ME2 and that might mean similar characters

I was thinking more like the female version of Zaeed. I mean, Jack was a biotic prodigy who was tortured throughout her childhood by a terrorist organization.

I don't know if someone who willingly undergoes cybernetic experimentation during their adulthood really compares.

product of experimental technology does cut a little close in terms of backgrounds though.

Though I'll never say no to more Zaeed, even if it must be not!Zaeed

Maybe, but it's not as glaring as giving half the squad a story about being at odds with their fathers.

Why do you expect ME:A to emulate ME2?

I don't expect that to change one bit^^

Because its the most well received and remembered among the fanbase.  It doesn't have the baggage of ME3 and its ending fiasco, nor is it too tied to ME1 and the abysmal gameplay and horrid environments.

Could always go the route of them being the product of experimentation not by choice. They could be a cyborg by means unknown to them via wiped memory. For all they know, they're programmed to believe what is implanted and to be a certain thing but begin to have visions of someone's life only for it to eventually turn out to be their own. They may not even realize that they're mostly machine.

Which might be a little too Robocop and somewhat of a reverse Cloud but I still kind of dig it.

If they're going to have artificial limbs I think I'd rather they're simply replacements for limbs lost in accidents or the result of birth.
