Considering the armour aesthetics for the protagonist and the human squad members. I'd like the visuals to branch off into 3 general styles: general human "traditional" ME style(ME:A artworks are great), an alien-looking organic style that creates an impression that the armour grows unto the characters ...
"Organic"
So kind of like a Warframe type armour? or something like the collector armour in ME3 I guess. It did look cool, but it was a bit weird that Shepard would wear such an armour.

Lore-wise, I am not sure, but I think the Tenno are still considered Human.

I haven't played Warframe myself, but the armours on the screenshot look still a bit too artificial to me, not organic enough, mostly because of how materials look.
For the organic look i'd like to see a sort of a natural looking, tight exoskeleton, with bone-looking bits for armour, artificial muscles augmenting capabilities of the wearer and an rectractable organic-looking membrane for the helmet's visor. Yes, a bit like the Collector's armour, just with better articulated bone and muscle structures - and with removable helmets, of course.
The main idea for the visuals would be an impression that the wearer of such armours has sort of grown into them or the armour has grown around the wearer, with just the face showing, and now the *whole* body is turned into a weapon itself.
If there are bonuses for amours again, this line of armours could get boosts to speed, critical hits to vulnerable spots, maybe some regeneration to the armour/health layer and some funky ones like chameleon abilities camouflagin you while holding still and prolonging invisibility for infiltrators.
On the other hand you'd have alien looking "mechanical" ones with focus on brute power, shields and heavy weapons(if there are any), with some mechanical gadgets similar to ME3 multiplayer abilities: shoulder cannons, electrified nets, maybe a hook glove pulling enemies right to you and some sort of interfaces boosting your abilities with heavy guns. Comparable to ME3 destroyer from multiplayer, just more crazy, looking like a walking (alien) fortress.
p.s.: Eh, so i did an image search and apparently my original image of the organic style is indeed Warframe artwork. So let me use another Warframe image to explain my point a bit more.

The one on the *left* is what I see in your example picture. She wears some sort of a bodysuit, but it looks not organic enough for what I imagine. The suit of the right one on the other hand, does seem to show some organic looking features - the pattern on the back, the shape of the shoulderplates, a bit of jagged edges in several places - and this is what i'd like to see in some ME:A armours.
edit: mixed up right and left, corrected.

I dunno how I feel about supersoldiers in Mass Effect.

But an organic armour growing around you would probably mean you have become the armour, sort of like Crysis I guess. I wouldn't mind seeing that in some alien's military, but not on our PC.
I really like this armour, the detail on it is fantastic:
Is that Camilla Luddington as Lara Croft? Why does she have armour?

Technically we already have them, since anyone who enrolls in the Alliance military gets genetic enhancements.

It's one of the outfits you can get in the game.

Ah... spice murinz...

I find the armor and costume design from XCOM 2 to be amazing. Especially because of the excellent textures that really make all those things, from cloth to futuristic plate, to look believable and beautiful. I hope Andromeda can at least match those.
^ That metallic red is really pretty.

Tau wins.

...
But melee... ![]()
Besides, the Tau are weird, they seem like they don't belong in the WH40K really, and their ethereals are probably mind controlling the whole lot of them... (which if true makes them ironically more in line with WH40K standards...)
But melee...
Fire Caste has them beat there too, except for ultra rare units and individual character units, and in that case? I'd just roll out the heavy bomber craft and mechs.
Tau has the best heavy infantry in WH for what they do and how they fight, they blitz like no one else can.

Every unit supposedly has a counter, and every counter usually has a counter (or at least a major disadvantage).
I think that the Eldar (both types) are supposed to be better at blitz warfare, at least according to the lore.
And they also have better technology overall, and ultra powerful psykers.

Of course, Tau have weaknesses for every strength they possess, I merely maintain that their units are better then Imperium's. Especially when you are throwing trash units at them, I mean because the Tau trash units, have ranged advantage, and superior movement. Can't take a hit, but hey, if you can snipe the enemy from half away across the map...It really doesn't matter, does it?

Well yes, you have a quantity Vs. quality scale, the Zerg errr... Tyranids are on the extreme side of quantity, the Eldar are all about quality, the Imperium and the Tau are somewhere in the middle.
And seeing as the Imperium doesn't really care about canon fodder units like Guardsman, they will just throw enough at the Tau to screen for the real threats, until it's too late.

That on the reverse gives the Tau enough time to call in their elite caste units, and heavy armor though, their navy may be garbage but Planetside? They are a match for any force in WH.

Assuming that this force only attacks in neat little bite-sized pieces for them to handle, the Tau are simply to few to counter the gargantuan numbers of this universe.
At best you can say that they are relatively strong for their size.
But yes, their attitude is probably the least psychotic and insane compared to all other options.

Didn't we have this discussion before already? I think it was with you, it was something about Gorgon and the Gulf Crusade.
._.
If it was with someone else this will be awkward...
