Yeah... it never really is... But maybe I'll be wrong, we'll see.

Yeah, you are not the first to say it either.
*shrug* Some ladies here on the forum seemed to like Thane well enough to rage on his tragic ending.
(I actually think it was a fitting and touching ending for an assassin seeking redemption, even if the implementation of everything connected to Kai Lame -
especially cuts-cenes was handled... poorly.)

Let it be proclaimed: Not everywhere we go should have the same doors! I'm looking at you, the same doors on Ilium and Tuchanka.
Also, I know it's space and everyone's wearing synthetic fabrics but that doesn't mean all the clothes need to look like glossy plastic and/or fit skin-tight. Mirror's Edge was made on the same engine, just steal their outfits if you can't make clothes that look like fabric.

Two new additions:

1. Searchlights, giant spacecraft and unreasonably tight spaces go together like chips, fish and vinegar, so some of that sort of thing would be lovely. Just think--the Tempest has been tasked with locating an old Remnant research complex, hidden within an asteroid, but the composition of the asteroid is wreaking havoc with our sensors, so we have to take the ship in through a fissure in the surface and basically just look out a window. (Or whatever other set-up you want--I'm just in it for the cool situation/visual.)

2. We should be able to power slide the Mako, leaving a massive cloud of alien dust in our wake. Ideally, the dust'll be purple or something.

I'm more concerned about the lack of gunz on the Mako.

Eh, I always hopped out to shoot stuff on foot anyway. More XP, and substantially more badass.
