I need to free up space on my SSD boot drive (120GB), so I want to move my NWN2 install to another HD, but it doesn't just work like my NWN1 install.

My NWN2 install is the GoG version. I know I can reinstall, but I would have to re-download the install files from GoG but it is time and ISP cap waste.

Has anyone moved an install just making a registry edit? Details?

You should be able to play the game without any registry changes.  That would likely only be necessary for using the uninstaller.  NWN2 will insist on using the Documents folder for its user content unless you change the shortcut to use the -home command switch to send it to a folder on any hard drive on your computer.  However, the toolset doesn't seem to have an equivalent switch, so it continues to look on C: for all non-module resources.

Alternatively, you can set the actual Documents (or My Documents or whatever they call it in your version of Windows) system folder to a different drive, and everything should go there automatically.

So it does.

I tried it a couple of times earlier, but I had forgot I also have a startup issue with NWN2. It fails to start on me some of the time. It just exits. I tried a couple more times and it started... So it is OK with the move.

Thanks.
