What is wrong with multiplayer? It gives one an opportunity to share the experience with friends. I know people are gunshy because of the ME3 experience that it was necessary to get the "best ending" in March 2012, but in reality that didn't matter much then, did it because all the endings were virtually identical except for the color of the explosions on your screen: you died, the relays exploded, and the Normandy crashed. If you played hours of multiplayer you may have gotten to take a gasp in the high EMS destroy ending.
After that ending, I was about to take the game back when I heard the rumor - they're writing a new ending! My entire attitude with ME3 was "Well at least there's multiplayer." I met some of my best XBox friends in ME3 multiplayer. I hope they have good multiplayer support for ME: Andromeda.
That said, my guess is that they're putting a good amount of time into ME: Andromeda campaign. Remember, it could be worse. It could be Activision running the show.
Good for you. I'm glad that you enjoy multiplayer. I don't because there some people, like me, who aren't social and I generally prefer solitude over a social interaction with random strangers.
I little enough faith in humanity as it is and most of the time I've found that waiting for person X to get their act together so we can start the damn mission, waiting forever for 3 people to play with, the party leader dropping out mid-way through the mission, or having strangers yelling at me "You suck! I'm going to rape your mom!"or sending me foul messages only makes me more cynical and mean spirited and I don't want to be cynical and mean spirited.
Multiplayer, has alway been, still is, and most likely absolute hell for me, if I want to talk strangers I can go to sites like BSN.
