That's why I love modders...
Exactly. Some things are best left to modding. You cannot cater to every whim. It is impossible.

Yeah, and we all know there is a lot of mods avaible for the consoles...

This will be an EA game however, not Paradox... modding will be ... discouraged.
I would like to have my main character wear jeans with running shoes, a t-shirt with Earth on the front saying Remember Earth and on the back saying humanity #1. Wear a hat that has the Cerberus symbol. Also have a jacket that has an image of TIM on the back. Yeah. My main character would really like the casual clothing look. While walking around in her/his casual clothes, he/she has headphones listening to some Ozzy. Excellent
Formal wear have the female wearing a nice looking red dress and the male wearing a nice pinstripe suit with tie. Only if the occasion requires formal wear.
If the character is part of the military he/she can have either dress blues or dress greens for formal wear and for casual clothing have a t-shirt and BDU bottoms. Something like what Vega wore on the ship in ME3
I wouldn't mind a more robust clothing selection IF the setting called for it. From what I gather, there will not be a lot of cities, advanced societies, so a huge amount of high fashion clothing would not be necessary for me as a player.

This.
I better be able to flaunt my human heritage in ME:A

Frostbite does not have tools yet like Unreal 3 did. We need Johan to provide them and EA has to ok that.
So yeah modding will not be in for awhile. Like I said I don't mind more clothing options, I just think it should be post game if they want to cater to a lot of the different ideas here. so that the game does not suffer.
They only have a year left to make this game and I do not envy them, how hectic it probably is there. I would much rather see them focus on really important things, than some aesthetics which differ from the theme of the character (like Shep being a solider in the original series).
Would it be cool to be able to pin stripe my ship, or my Mako? Sure. Do I want that to come at the cost of well developed characters, plot arc, standard clothing design, clothes on villains and companions and loyalty outfits? No.
These are all things that could be added post game release imo. To give some flavor to a replay.

That's some Ugly American type behaviour right there. You going to carry around a miniature flag as well?

Is there something wrong with having my character wanting to remember humanity and Earth?
With the flag thing, I would have my main character stick a Carolina Panthers flag in her/his hat supporting the team
Might want to look at SWTOR cartel packs...
Also just because you want a shirt or a jacket, does not mean everyone in this thread does. It is impossible to make them all happy. We have someone who wants a Robert Smith outfit from the Cure, you want to look like a 20th century fighter pilot, some of the girls want to appear less soldierly.
And that is just a FEW opinions. People were not even happy with the color of the hoodie. They modded that.
It ME had to cater to every suggestion and whim? This game will in no way resemble the Mass Effect series. There would not be enough money left over to make a game.
yeah I agree it's going to be next to impossible to please everyone there's outfit's I'd like to see in the game too. I doon't know if they'd ever show up and I'd doubt they will. However if they do something like what they did with DAI and put together a small wardrobe of outfits for each gender that I think would probably cover it.
Sooo, the Edgy 12 Year Old Starter Pack?
Just don't make casual clothes be a can of spray paint...
...and with that you summed the whole thread up in one sentence. Well played Sir.
It is? Awesome
As I said I haven't done ME3 with FemShep yet so I wasn't sure, thx
I believe the hoodie was included with a pre-order, special edition, or somesuch. It is not available to all who purchased the games.
Oh, fingers crossed I'll have it then. Sods law it won't be there lol.

nobody is saying that they should ad a bazillion clothing items .. but a little variety can't hurt ... I don't mind spending $1-$5 for an outfit pack or two ... I bought the 2 packs for DA:I too ... but I'd much rather spend my game credits on stuff like that. Customization makes the game more enjoyable for me, even if it's just tinting my and my squads armor.
I don't need all of that but you know ... it's like sprinkles on a sundae ... I don't need em but they still make me happy.

Thexan's armor aren't that bad but it wasn't as detailed as Arcann's. I like his cuff and use it for my Consular. I kinda want Satele's knee-high boots for my Smuggler. SWTOR is a good game where you can see unique pieces on individuals and hardly everyone wear the same thing, NPCs that is.
I would've love it if they bring back light-medium-heavy armor distinctions and class restrictions. Choose between riot armor or catsuits.
Yes. You should be able to take casual clothes into combat. But if you get hit once, your character should die immediately.
If formalwear is going to be required for any part of the game, I'd like to have a non-dress, non-heels option for the female protag.

yeah although you can purchase it now as an extra DLC on Origin

Please, no! Don't say you'll don't have any problem to spend money to get casual outfit! If EAware hear it, they will put the beige pajamas back and make every other casual outfit behind a paywall!
