Its up for sale to pre order in some online retail shops,
Has anyone actually taken the leap and done it,ie pre ordered? Let me know in the comments below.

Why? What reason is there to pre-order and especially this far away from release? Hell we don't even have a release date yet, unless you are reserving a special edition (which we have no details on or whether one even exists or will exist) there is no reason to pre-order a game, even when it comes to pre-order bonuses I usually don't pre-order until the day before release, especially if it is a digital purchase, why you would pre-order this early in the game's development cycle is beyond me.

Hell no...

The only information Bioware released about the game is that it is set in Andromeda. That is not even close to being enough to justify a purchase. I'm reluctant to preorder anything anyway, and think it is generally a bad idea, particularly before review embargos have been lifted.

Indeed.

After ME3 (where I made the mistake of not only preordering, but preordering an N7 edition), I've seen no reason to touch Andromeda with a ten foot pole.

I'll preorder probably sometime at the end of October. And it depends upon the multi-player. And what comes with the pre-order. If for example, they throw in remastered copies of the ME trilogy for the XBox One with the preorder, I'll definitely do it.

I would be ok with that. Also have it include all dlc. Of course have a remastered version for the ps4 as well.

Pre-ordering is stupid and worthless if you plan to buy a digital copy of the game.

I'll wait for the game to be out and then purchase it normally at the store. Why giving money in advance? Really no point in doing that. Once the product is done and finished then I'll buy it.

Even physical I am sure if you just want to get the standard edition there will be no shortage of copies on release date.

Also why is it that they had to have the black guy talk and act like a stereotypical African American despite the actual actor being Brittish? Why not just complete the shtick and have him munch on some fried chicken and watermelon. I gotta wonder what direction J.J. gave to the actor when filming his scenes "Uh that was great John but I am afraid it would confuse our audiences if they saw a person of colour with a brittish accent, could you speak more like a black guy for the next take my nizzle"?

At least on PC there are often generous discounts.

I'll probably be preordering. Every Bioware game I've played has made me happy and given me my money's worth, which is more than I can say for a lot of games.

But good lord, even I'm not quite crazed enough to order a year out with almost no details about the game. I mean, Ryder could be a cat for all we know, and the entire score could be Beatles songs sped up.

And a generous amount of lies told.

I will not pre-order for two basic reasons:

1: Even if my fanboy side screams me to do it, let's be rational, we barely know anything yet. I need to see how this game will turn out so I can decide if I will pre-order or wait for a price drop.

2: And more important: I'm unemployed  No way in hell I will make such a significant investment now wen I'm low in cash. Games are very expensive here in Brazil, release titles usually go between R$ 150 and R$ 225. That's very abusive considering our minimum wage is just R$ 788,00. People normally get more than that of course - unless you get a really crappy job - but still, putting it in the balance, it will weight heavily on your pockets, since the economy in this country is going down the drain.

So nope, no pre-order for me -_-

Nope!

I'll buy when I see reviews and streamers/youtubers playing their early copies so I know exactly what I'm spending my money on.  I got sucked into Inquisition with all their Alpha footage BS. I won't let that happen again.  I'll preorder from CDPR or Naughty Dog.  But BW/EA officially made my not preorder list right along side Ubisoft and Konami.

On the one hand, I love all 3 Mass Effect games and all of the Dragon Age games, thus BioWare has earned my trust enough to buy the game outright. On the other hand, I'm not buying a physical copy. There's no reason to pay now when there is no chance of it just running out (though really, the physical game ain't gonna run out either). So nah, I'll pay for it when it's actually available to download and play.

I won't probably preorder it, after DAI I think I'll wait until it gets patched playable before buying. Maybe I'll get it bit cheaper that way as well.

Nice! Where did you order?

You won't believe me... In the bottom row of the video-game part in a supermarcket. Along with Trails in the Sky, Parasite Eve 3, Popolocrois and Valkyria Chronicles 2. It was a -50% ripoff because nobody buyed them. Fools... *Devilish laughter*

About the pre-order, I hope a lot of people will wait. Video game company uses some crappy things this recent years like forbidding press review before the product release. If nobody can tell what is the game before the release, it is a bad news.

There are two major issues for me as to why I won't pre-order this game.

First is that Bioware lied - yes lied to PC customers pre-release with Inquisition. They purposefully mislead us with their marketing and outright lied on their twitch streams pre-release. Lying to your customers is never a good idea and not a decision that engenders trust. If you're reading this Bioware, I speak for a lot of PC gamers when I say you have to rebuild that level of trust with us again.

Secondly is that again, as a PC customer, I want to ensure I can play the game before I buy it. Inquisition had a major bug on the PC on its very first cutscene. In addition to this, it wasn't optimised for my platform of choice, with low res, poorly implemented (when used with M+KB) menus. I am not going to buy a game that treats my platform as an afterthought. If Bioware expects me to spend my hard earned money on a AAA title, charged at a premium price, then I expect it to be the best damn game they can make for the PC, rather than some half arsed console port. It's not too much to ask that it be optimised for high res monitors and not need a console controller to get the maximum out of it, or to be able to remap controls.

If you expect me to be paying £50+ for this title, expect this game to treat my platform with the respect that price tag deserves. Since Inquisition did not despite claims to the contrary, and the subsequent loss of trust as a result of those claims, I will want to see demonstrable proof that the game ticks these boxes before I part with a single penny of my money.

Probably pre order depending if online is mandatory or not.

Bioware is on of the firms that produces games I spend hundreds of hours in.  Even their worse games are leagues better then many games I own and played for a few hours.  This means between games there is a very dry spell so when Bioware releases a new game I am eager to play it.  Playing the same 2 @ 3 games 2/3 years long has that effect of eagernes.

Rather pay (even full price) for games I actually enjoy playing then the many games I own and only played for a few hours.  My steam account is full of cheapo's that rarely appeal.  Even in hindsight those games you where full of when they came out years ago mostly make me remember how times have changed and gone foreward.

ME1 comes to mind as a game that lost its appeal, gameplay is simply tedious and outdated but mostly creates an outcry if stated out loud.  So pretty visuals are not go and make me buy that game again and to update gameplay and inventory is to holy for lots of fans but to costly is the main reason I think for EA.

J.J. Abrams believe in the black agenda  they act like they're guilty of being racist and they overreact  where they try to make things right basically saying hey i'm not racist look i have a black guy in my movie where they make their own kind look stupid and inferior because they try to hard  it all most reverse racism agents his own kind...and i'm not just talking about the black agenda this goes for the gay agenda to you see that all over the social media tv/movies/radio/comic books/video games  it's a shame.i believe everyone is equal but the black and gay aganad people don't believe that they think there more superior and there not even black are gay lol thats what i have a problem with.
