Or maybe...maybe Dread Wolf already changed his mind right after Trespasser? Maybe you r new goal is to find a different way to accomplish ....
Too art-house? Come, we've seen the progression of the industry. We are prepared.

Anything can work in imagination and anything in imagination can become an RPG.That would never work. And would ultimately goes against everything which makes this series an RPG.
An RPG is simply a system of tactics, gaining power and building offense/defense, quests and rewards. It can suit any story, no matter what story. Any story conceivable!!

That would be an interesting twist. I wouldn't mind if it's well written. ![]()

I want to play a female dwarf or qunari in DA4, so that's not going to work for me unless Solas has undergone some radical changes since we last saw him.

A player character working for Fen'Harel? Could be interesting.
Fen'Harel as the player character? Just... no.

I think the point was that this particular franchise would suffer from a fixed protagonist. We're used to being able to build our own characters. Playing as a fixed male character wouldn't work for many of us and we'd leave the fanbase.

What is Hawke if not a fixed protagonist?
But yes, I don't think that Bioware would remove the option to at least pick gender.

What if the protagonist of DA4 was a dragon? Not a super intelligent sentient dragon but the regular kind that just wants to burn things and eat sheep.
I would dragon Thedas so hard.
First... I would dragon those sheep... then I would dragon the living s..t out of Nevarra... dragon hunters... phah! Then I would dragon some dragon babies with a hawt High Dragon waifu... then, I would eat more sheep of course... then, I would do all the dragon side-quests across all the different regions - like, burn 10 houses - eat 10 Redcliff soldiers - drop three dragon-poops on Teegan.
Then... I would continue my glorious dragoning.

So, the dragon version of Goat Simulator, right?

Ironically it could be a better plot than the one presented in DAI,the protagonist will have just to defend the sheeps from the dragon or try to do the possible to breed the dragon's puppies and save them from extinction,at least it would be something different than your typical Bioware save the world, this time from the bald elf..

I would play the hell out of this.
(I wonder what the Dragon Simulator equivalent of Tall Goat is ...)

screw that, I'd prefer Sandal over Solas. Just picture the romance,
'OOOO my hero your sooo sexy tonight, Shall we lay here together?'
'ENCHANTMENT!!!!'
'Yesss i will Enchant you'
'Enchantment'

Tear down the Veil... destroy the world... would you kindly...
Why should you ultimately fail? Maybe the devs would be cool with a world reboot.

I am hoping for the irony of a Tevinter Magister saving the world form Solas, just picture the reaction of the southern chantry...
Oh Maker, I was fantasizing about this too
