No... Unless Lavellan is in it , then we'll be talking! :}
Of course . I am in Solavellan hell
Can I be turned on by my own protagonist....by myself, though? If I'm playing as Solas....will the fangirling be more difficult? This is my main concern.

What is Hawke if not a fixed protagonist?
But yes, I don't think that Bioware would remove the option to at least pick gender.
If Hawke is the measure of a fixed protagonist, then they pretty much all are. All of them are named, with a background and unique challenges to overcome due to their races\upbringing\etc. We still can own them, make them ours, make them look like us or whatever we want, choose their gender, choose who they befriend, bed, whatever.
When I think of a 'fixed' protagonist I think of Squall Leonhart, Geralt whateverhisnameis, Arno whateverHISnameis, Lara Croft, whateverhernameis Ripley, etc. Fixed gender, usually Caucasian, always hetero, whole story written, personal relationships mostly already picked out if they exist at all. A storybook telling you what happened and maybe you make a decision here and there to have the illusion of shaping their personality, but the character is still never ultimately you. I'm not knocking that way of telling a story - I'm a huge fan of Square Enix in particular and have played everything they ever released - but those are completely different styles of storytelling. Each has its place. Can't BioWare keep being a different style and appeal to *everyone*?
I feel like for BioWare's games to truly be successful with the things that they focus on (character development, relationship development, relating to the world around the character) it's important to leave as many things up to the player's headcanon as possible. That's why I replied to that particular comment in the first place. Changing the formula now would be a regression. A bad one.
I'd play that
slaughter all Thedas, sounds funny. ![]()
Ok jokes aside.. nah I wouldn't like to play as Solas. But I would play as some random elf/slave (?) who is either:
a ) "called to arms" by the Dread Wolf and gets to decide if to go ahead with his plan or not
b ) pretending to work for the Dread Wolf but is actually spying on him for the Inquisitor or Tevinter (because Solas I love you but you won't fool me twice
now it's time for me to repay you with your same tools.. hence have MY spy in YOUR organization
)
But in truth, I do not see this coming. Would like it though ![]()

I like these ideas
There is no fun with no challenge,if Solas is the protagonist why you should need a party at all?
