Will we be able to play the game in English in other regions? If you buy the game in other countries, even if you can download the VO pack, the interface and language is still in a different language. There are ways to work around it like change the VPN, but it's easier for people who is not tech-savvy to just allow them to play in English if they so choose without all the workaround. Some people who is learning English, like the English language, or people who like to enjoy the art in its original form would enjoy it greatly, especially considering, most of the time, the translation is horrible and mistranslated due to cultural differences and some words and phrases are hard to translate to in a different language.

My region will only have english VO and texts everywhere anyways, they don't translate games in my language, but this would be cool anyways for other regions that get only dubbed version for some reason. I personally hate when I can't have original language on things and have to settle with translation.

I HATE DUBBING! My favorite game store back home sells both the original version and the localized one so I always had the choice but I agree, it should be much easier to buy the original game without a VPN

I don't know about you (I'm on PC), but I can change the texts on at least ME1 and ME3, and for other games what I do is preset the client (Origin, Steam) to English, and the games use that language as the default option

That being said, it would be better if they allowed you to do it more easily.

I HATE DUBBING!

You and me both, buddy. I don't get the vendetta some countries have against the english language. It's the world's lingua franca whether people like it or not, so they should just deal with it.

I mean, not everyone is great at English and after studying it for well over 15 years by now I still have moments where I can't follow a movie or understand an actor because of the accent but that's why I always have the subtitles on (in my case the english ones) but a lot of the jokes and things like that get lost with the dubbing and they always try to replace it with some ****, super annoying

Yeah that would suck. Most anime has horrific English dubs. Jokes get lost and the voice actors usually are not as good. There are a couple exceptions but overall I'll take subtitles every time.

I think that for DAI they released a free download with the english vo in case people's games were automatically dubbed in certain regions. So if english not being in the game from the getgo is not a thing I bet it'll become available as a download shortly after. And yeah I dislike dubbing as well, the voice picks are usually really lacking compared to the original voice actors who are hand picked.

I think it should be given the chance to have the game in whatever language one want, without impedimant on the region in wich one buy it.

I usually prefer play the game in my own language (I think some italian VA had made a real great work in ME, sometimes better than the original VA) but sometimes I'd like to play the game with the english language for fun.

Expecially after I've played the game one or two times, so even if I lost some dialogue (since I'm not that good in english) I can understand what happen without being too occupied at read the subtitles and not enjoy the video.

I don't think I ever play a game localized in my language but I have seen movies that does that and it was awful.

I have more issues with localized subtitles in English movies. I watched Catching Fire and the cinema operator have to pause the movie because the subs didn't come out and make a big deal about it and when they put the subs back on. it stuck through the remaining movie... I normally hate watching movies in cinema since we usually have two or three different language subtitles and it always took 1/4 of the screen.

But I could play games in Japanese even without subtitles.

On PC you'll probally be able to simply choose English while installing the game.

On PS4/Xbox1 you'll probally have to change your console lanquage to English.
