I remember posting this but search option returned no result. :(

Anyway, I finished the game a year ago. Never returned to it. But could. If...

The question is did anyone manage to make a mod that prevents trashmobs' godlike ability to endlessly revive?

Is there a no respawn mod that makes sure once you kill a trashmob, it stays dead and doesn't appear till the end of the game?

What is a trashmob?

The only enemies I know of that would endless spawn are the Sha-Brytol in The Bastion of The Pure in The Descent. But they're supposed to do that, because you have to loot them in battle and then destroy the barrier to get to the next sublevel.

If you can't find such a mod on Nexus, I doubt that anyone here is going to do better.

But I'm curious: why do you want such a mod?

I usually complain about mobs being too small and too infrequent -- the exact opposite, in other words. I want a mod that makes trashmobs bigger, with more reinforcement waves. Rifts should have a random number of waves between 2 and 6, adjusted to level of the rift. I used a mod like this with Skyrim (Sands of Time/Ultimate Deadly Encounters) and it was a blast. Fighting 50 skeletons, many of them promoted, is a lot more fun than fighting 5 that die after one hit.

Trashmob = "routine" hostiles, indigenous wildlife, random encounters

Enemies who aren't bosses, in other words. I think it's an MMO term, but I'm not sure.

I'm in agreement with PapaCharlie9. I like killing stuff. Plus, it's a steady source of crafting materials.

A trashmob in DAI would be enemies like the bandits in the Hinterlands, Darksapwn on the Coast, Raiders in the Approach.  Non boss enemies that, even though you clear the zone and kill all of, there are more next time you return to the zone. Those things some need to fill requisitions later in the game.

The majority of mobs do not respawn anyway once you finish a zone. Yes either Ventaroi or Red Templars will be everywhere and, will respawn with each visit to a zone and, a few others here and there but, not in droves like many games. For the most part a cleared zone remains a quiet zone.

I don't see the need for a no trash spawn mod in DAI, but if there is one, it would be at Nexus. if not then that would be the place to request such a mod. Just keep in mind that modding this game is not so easy and, it may not be possible without affecting something else.

This. If you get used to playing multiplayer mode, then you will find single player combat simply too boring and lacks challenge.  There is just simply not enough mobs to kill.
