It's a well known glitch, usually done with a Destroyer using the Striker.

Okay. Had this been on PC, it would make sense and I'd just assume hackers are at it.

I'll tell you what I've had to tell half a dozen people lately. If you want the search system to actually work, you need to exit the search screen EVERY SINGLE TIME YOU CHANGE IT. If you don't, the game basically defaults to Unknown/Unknown/Any. I don't know why, or the exactly what is happening, all I know is that exitting the search screen whenever you change it (Go back to Quick Search/Create/Character/etc screen) will fix it. I also don't know why this works, but it does.
Also, missile glitching is an abuse of the latency between host and client, it allows a player to turn a projectile weapon into a psuedo-missile, the problem then is reloading it (because that will break it), This is why Adas Destroyer is a good choice, Adas has good ammo, and is functionally better than Striker, and Destroyer's devastator mode can be toggled to refill guns without reloading. Just leave whenever you see this happening, as it is not going to be a fun game.... especially if you have to end up carrying anyway.

Still, as weird, frustrating, and...I'll admit kind of intersting this glitch is, is it safe? Er, rather, is even allowed?

It used to get people banned but BioWare isn't looking anymore. I've seen it happen on PC and Wii U.

Seriously?? It's an actual in-game thing?
No it wasn't intended, and could get you banned when Bioware still supported the game.

I stopped caring about whether or not someone sends me to Platinum. 6 rockets helps, too.

Or couldn't. I doubt the collective programming capabilities of the studio who calls this game a finished product.

I kind of look on ME3MP as a "free trial" they tagged onto an entrenched profitable SP product as a test run that they worked on until funding was cut. That there are still so many bugs isn't necessarily a lack of competency, but financial/time commitment on their publishers part, as opposed to the development team.
Taking that into account the success and sheer enjoyment I've gotten out of something that I consider essentially to be free makes ME3MP look bloody amazing, and singular. I paid the amount I did for the SP content alone without even considering the MP aspect.

That's BS and you know it.
I'm sick of people making BS excuses. Buggy game is buggy. Period. They chose to end support and development when they did. They didn't want to spend any more money fixing their mess. I bought it solely for the MP, I still play it for the MP. I find the SP a chore, not quite as bad as ME1, but still a pretty bad experience. If you choose to LIE to YOURSELF and call it a "Free trial", then go ahead, but don't spread it. If this is a free trial, I want to get the full version. Which for us PS3 users, will mean a €400 console, plus a €100+ game if/when they ever make it, which is a **** deal by anybody's standard.
They should be ashamed of their finished product, I would be. You finish what you start. Or, be honest with everybody and label it "SP Game with Buggy, unfinished MP that we couldn't be bothered fixing." Maybe my problem is expecting others (in this case, EA/Bioware) to hold themselves to the same standards I would, but that still doesn't change them deciding they CBF'd fixing it.

No, I don't know it just because you tell me too. I believe what I stated. What you're not getting is the difference between publishers and developers in my statement.
If you choose to LIE to YOURSELF and call it a "Free trial", then go ahead, but don't spread it.
Might want to be careful spouting off, you're coming off a right arse telling me what I can and cannot say. I'd turn that right around and tell you not to lie to yourself with a whiny opinion if that were the case. Your opinion that my excuse is BS is fine, but I find your grousing about it and the price of things far worse BS.
The difference is I don't care if you spread it. That's what this forum is for. (well, minus some zealous mods with different notions on occasion.)

luls, you can't do this on PC without some in-depth knowledge of modding OP. Where on console you can be a scrub and just go to youtube.

Probably easier to just modify the base stats of a gun to do huge damage.
