The Venatrolli in HB

I'd like to know what type of e-cigs the devs were smoking as they are arguably one of the most annoying and frustrating enemies to deal with in hb compared to the other two? Templars are doable, and demons are as well but it seems they may have put too funny juice in their hookah went it came to the designing the venatrolli.

Templar could probably do it. Havnt tried.
Archer up to Zone 5 isn't too bad. Enemy archers are more dangerous than the mages.
The trolliness in Zone 5 is rough. Congrats, you got past the archers/spell binders/mages/shield dudes. Here's a ton of mages, spell binders, Brutes and Demon Commanders.
The Despair Demon and Mage combo is pretty trolltastic. Snakebite always jokes about the most annoying mob in Demons being from the Venatrolli faction.

I wonder if she can use Spell Purge to dispel the fade cloak...

Can't do anything once they are fade cloaked besides get trolled by their stone fists.

Can to the death them. And hit them for guard on hit, even without to the death. Can knock them down, stagger them...

You can CC them while they're cloaked. Disruption Field completely wrecks the venatori faction

Not a joke. They really are. All that CC still wasn't enough to make Demons hard on Heartbreaker, so they added Venatrolli Mages.

Doesn't Pommel Strike also stun them while in Fade Cloak?

Sarr-Taar Shield upgraded flow stance with enough speed buffs (Heart of Pride, Ring of Asaaranda) can keep them perpetually knocked down even while in Fade Cloak.

Is this a joke? Mages have fade cloak invincibility active for 6-7 seconds with an arsenal of barrier, stonefist, dispel, and elemental dots at their disposal. Dealing with one isn't bad but having 4-5 of them at once in a zone means you should just put the controller down if your not a Silent Sister. I guess this explains why most hb solo attempts were successfully done against Templars and demons.

Yeah, if you hit them as they are fade cloaking.
But, you don't do damage and it activates Pommel Strike's cool down.
Better off connecting for damage.

And all the mobs are huge health sponges. Great fun with SS
Oh and HB veni boss are so sweet. They zap around less frequently than NM or Peri and you can spam throwing blade all day towards them without being interrupted at all. & MEGA explosion!
Demon zone 5 is definitely the most enjoyable one out of them all! All of them can't block or inflict statue effects, and so much health for you to enjoy abusing them.

To be fair veni mages aren't that bad once people get used to it.
It's much easier to handle on old maps and don't rush too fast. Aggro too many mages is a bad idea. But if you clear them as you go along and don't let them build up in quantity, it's okay.

I just realized that you forgot to mention their normal ranged attack that tracks you. Having one or two mages attacking you with that isn't so bad, but 3 or more pretty much immobilizes you, and that's just their basic attack! Then they added Stonefist on top of that to make sure you are not able to close the gap to them without being launched back 30 feet, and Fade Cloak to make sure that if by some miracle you made it over to them you still can't hit them, then while you swing at their incorporeal bodies, hoping against hope for them to uncloak, they can just electric slide away, frying you instantly and forcing you to make your way over to them again! If by some miracle you somehow succeed in killing it, congratulations; now there are now only 7 more all attacking you at once!

Came to post this, essentially. First HB was against Vents in < 40 mins (< 35 IIRC) because of support-build Saarebas. She needs Ring of Asaaranda (Flow) and possibly Athlok Burst (Flow) as well. Both paralyze the Vents, including the mages. Use choke points and bring 3 damage dealers. Boring to be the Barrier B*tch, but extremely effective.

The venatori faction in hb remind me of bolters in nm, except you have to deal with them for 4 zones instead of 1. I'm wondering why Bioware didn't give mages spirit blade???????

Good point. Why didn't they just give them inferno pact belt + fire mine flaming array + fade shield?

Yeah barrier saarebas + 3 physical dps is the most effective team composition for HB unless you have promotion lord/scrubs in the team...
