 This particular Guide that I'm typing out is for the Batarian Sentinel. I've always been ask what particular Batarian I'm playing as when I'm playing as the Batarian Gangsta. Also, this Guide is for Xbox players, because it's my understanding that Shockwave in particular is glitched for PC users (Don't know about the PS3).

  In order to dish out the amount of damage I usually dish out, you must follow this guide to the T. I also recommend that only Vets of the game use this build since it relies a lot on Incd Ammo and a maxed out Scimitar. A Respec card is required as well.

 

Batarian Gangster

 

Pick your Batarian Sentinel and apply the Respec card.

 

Skip Blade Armour altogether. The reason for this is simple. You need to use your shockwave constantly. If yah activate Blade Armnour, it'll hinder you.

 

Shockwave: Radius, Reach, Recharge Speed

 

Submission Net: Incapacitate, Damage and Slow, Shield and Barrier

 

Batarian Enforcer: Damage and Capacity, Power Damage, Sniper and Shotguns

 

Fitness: Melee Damage, Martial Artist, Melee Synergy

  Now, onto how I play this particular class. To be blunt, I play as aggressive as I possibly can. You're the one leading the way while your team comes up and mops everythivng up. Or, you can stay in the rear, shooting accordingly.

  Basically, what I do is shoot everything up and shockwave constantly. Simple as that. I use my submission net to strip any Biotic or Tech class, shoot em up and shockwave. The key to all this is the shockwave and Inc ammo. Noy only wqill you create a lot of fire explosions, whatever your team is running wether Biotic or Tech, you can sync with em accordingly. Creating even more havoc. I usually run this Gangster on Gold or Platinum and I've always come out ontop.

  Some of you might question why I'm running this character like this, but I've grown so used to this style, it's like second nature to me and I challenge all you Xboix players to give it a try. If you wish to see for yourself, hmu.

I run Blade Armour and an AR on him (skipping Submission net whilst taking weapon damage in passives), and his Shockwave cooldown is still less than 4 seconds (usually about 3.3), which is plenty for ammo/team detonations. Excessive use of Shockwave usually just annoys people anyway, so use it only for detonations, at which time, cooldown becomes less important, and a DPS weapon becomes desirable.

Using a power efficiency module 3 on a batarian sentinel specced as you do makes you gain 0,16s on the Shockwave cooldown, so any other armor bonus would be better. You can even spec into Blade armor and still keep the shockwave cooldwn ridiculously low (2,54s), while obtaining in the process 40% damage reduction and a better shield recharge speed.

 

Besides, I can't imagine how much time it takes to kill a platinum possessed Praetorian with a Scimitar batarian sentinel. Given his powers, this guy needs a strong gun. So this build may be amusing (well, not for the teammates trying to aim carefully) but in terms of efficiency it looks pretty terrible to me.

If you did want to do a build like this, a full blade armor build and using the Raider X with hvb/smart choke would be more ideal. 

 

But I do agree with using IA4 to set up all kinds of fire explosions ^__________^

They already know. I like my BatSol the way it is. KroSol does it better anyway.

Seriously though, I play this class the same way as you described, but I use Blade Armor and a bigger shotgun and still wreck faces.  Cooldowns are less important than you think.  Don't get me wrong, they are important, but I'll sacrifice 1 second of cooldown for BA and a real gun any day of the week.

But that one second isn't the only thing you have to sacrifice: you also have to take points from something else. And taking points from Fitness would be a bit futile, the difference in survivability between, say, 46664 and 06666 is extremely small - it makes sense if you're planning to use cyclonics, otherwise not so much.

Having more health and less damage reduction is not as good, IMO, but I admit I haven't gone into the math.

The scimitar deserves more credit than people give it around here.  Also, the BatSent is one classy dude.  I would recommend the omni-blade though for melee style points.

To the rest who doubt, like I said. This is how I've grown accustomed to play em. The Scimitar deals out the shots crazy fast and it does a little bit of damage. The one who mentioned the raider though has a damn good point. I run it on my Engineer. ^.^
