Ok so awhile back I did beat Mass Effect 1 and imported into Mass Effect 2. I even made it a good ways into ME 2, but it's been a long time though since I stopped playing for reasons I've completely forgotten now. I was going to start Mass Effect 2 over and use my imported ME 1 character from the beginning of ME 2 again regardless. However, since its been so long do I really need to start all the way over from ME 1 again, seeing as how I've forgotten a lot of things about the story and characters and choices I made? Can I be good to continue Mass Effect 2 with only using the codex entries as a recap?
Wasn't sure if this belonged in the ME 1 or ME 2 forum since it pertains to both.
Just a bit of advice, should I start completely over if...

You could get 'Genesis' to set what happened in ME. Or you could trust your choices in ME and just carry on in ME2.
You can still have an enjoyable experience!

You could also import your previous ME1 career into ME1 again and make it to level 60, and make sure you're happy with all your choices in the process.
Also, being level 60 gives you a few extra perks in the import to ME2.
The choice is yours, Commander.

You could just import to ME2 and go on playing. Some things are gonna be a surprise for you.
You should experience ME2 with a lower level import too and also from level 60 (later).
