I get that she strangled him to death, but what did she also do to him when she went all black-eyed and stuff? The only thing that comes to mind is that Aria is an Ardat-Yakshi. When Asari normally join their consciousness to others', they do it for romantic reasons, or to exchange memories with loved ones or people they respect, or to say goodbye like Liara did.

But when Ardat-Yakshi do it, they got murder in mind. So what exactly did Aria do to Petrovsky while she was strangling him?

Asari also go black eyed when reading peoples minds like when Liara does when she access your mind to see the Prothean visions in ME1. So it's possible she coyuld be doing that I've not seen Aria do it in that scene. But I know Shiala does when she gives you the Cipher and Liara does when she's accessing your visions. As for Aria being an Ardat Yakshi I don't think she is because in one of the ME books she has a daughter and as we know Ardat Yakshi I believe are supposed to be sterile. They can't have children.

Heh yeah well the books are stupid and I'm definitely not counting them as canon. And Aria's eyes do indeed go black when she's killing Petrovsky. Check it out on youtube.

Liara and Shiala get black eyes when they reach Shepard's mind too. That doesn't mean Aria is an Ardat-Yakshi. Besides, she could be making him feel whatever bad things she wants him to feel; trapped, desperate etc. to multiply his pain. Joining consciousness aren't limited to only for romantic involvement or sharing memories. Think about it; if they can take someone's DNA and use it, there must be so much more they can do with this ability. I don't think we can limit it to only two usage.
In short, black eyes aren't the indication of Ardat-Yakshi.The other Asari we see have them too. Aria isn't killing him with her mind but only making him feel in a certain way to make him suffer more while she is strangling him, I believe.

I think you got it. She is also enjoying herself and is probably letting him feel her intense pleasure at killing him. All asari can meld, not only for mating purposes, but also to share thoughts, information, memories, feelings ie Liara with Shepard and the beacons and Shiala with the cypher. In short, I think she is mind-effing him as she is killing him just to make him feel even worse and herself feel even better.

She does what now!? She started strangling him when we entered the room but then she let him go, saying something to the extent of "I'm letting you go to honor the memory of Nyreen". Then it was up to me to decide if I let him live, or shoot him on the spot. TBH it did seem out of character for aria.

It depends on whether you went renegade or paragon throughout the dlc. If you were paragon, she becomes slightly 'nicer' because of your bad influence and doesn't try to kill him but leaves him for the Alliance instead. You then have the option of shooting him yourself. If you go renegade, she kills him and does the black eyes thing as discussed above. Not to mention, she will kiss your bad self.

Is it a Kiss kiss or the kind the internal affairs lady gives you on Illium? Because if it's the former I'm considering to re-play.
