Is there a way to get more than 14 Ice Dragon Hides? I have found a way to farm Avvar Twill, Imbued Tusket Hide, Silken Nether Cloth, Ice Dragon Bone and Veil Quartz. Also all basic Dragon materials can be purchased from merchand in Winter Palace (infinite amount). Is this the only one crafting material in DA:I that is limited and unfarmable?

other than mods no. I think that's the only way as I believe the Hakkon dragon is the only thing that carries the Ice dragon stuff.

Mods or Cheat Engine. I'm not ashamed to say that i use CE for mats. I've got 99 of everything I can collect at my level and, by the end game, I'll have 99 of every possible mat. (only 3 of the specialization mats because that's all I'd need and, that's what my CE Table gives on those doing what I do to dupe the mats for crafting.)

 

That said, I am not fond of gathering and mining in DAI so, yes I cheat and jsut need to get one of each material then, i'm good unless it something I need the Fade Touched version of, then have to gather until I get that too.

There are mods to get fade touched mats too

Thank you all. I'm playing on PS4 so mods are out of the question. If this is the only way, than I'm doomed and I will have to use Great Bear Hides instead of Ice Dragon Hides    I deluded myself that it will be different. PapaCharlie9 wrote that it can be done by dumping exploit but I suppose that it will work only for Ice Dragon Bone. Please let me know if I'm wrong.

??? Duping works for any mat in your inventory. If you are flat out of Ice Dragon Hide or you haven't gotten it in the first place, then yes, duping will not help.

Do you referring to "Duplicate any item (besides herbs)" exploit? I thought that it was fixed after patch 1.04. Can you tell me how to do it? I heard that duplicate items with Skyhold Storage chest (that still works) can't be use to duplicate crafting materials.

You are right. I was confusing the old duping glitch at the merchant, which was patched out, with the storage dupe glitch. Storage can only store items, not mats.
