I was wondering if anyone had any good strategies for useing Biotic Charge. I'm playing a Vanguard right now and I'm just finding Charge to be useless. It seems like when I think I have one enemey all along and I charge in to finish them off I'm always ambushed by 2-3 others and my shields go down instantly (even with the shield boost from rank 3).

I'm playing on normal difficulity even, I cant imangine how bad it would be if I was on a higher difficulity.

I loved Vanguard in ME1. Lift + Push = Win and if all else failed, put up barrier and shield boost and charge in with a shotgun. So far, Vanguard in ME2 has been a letdown.

if your having issues using it offensively try using it when you need a shield boost when your shields drop. I'm playing on hardcore and not having any issues at all with it. You just can't blindly rush in.

Charge can be used to finish off enemies, frozen or otherwise. You should use it as a move to finish off enemies that are in positions you want to be in. Soften up any surrounding enemies with your team's abilities if possible and have your shotgun at the ready. Apparently, when you can get a loyal squad members skill you should get Barrier or Fortification as a back up.

Aside from that, I'm sure more experienced folks can either correct or add on to what I said.

I found repeatedly using heavy charge to be useful. It keeps boosting your shields, and I've managed to charge into a group of 5 enemies and take them all out with shotgun / mele and charging whenever the cd was up.
