Maybe those who are against reload canceling are jealous of those who can do it good and with style... The claymore and javelin comes to mind in terms of reload canceling.. Making that connection might not be too much of a stretch.. Just saying

Reload Animation cancelling isn't a glitch though. It literally is a clever use of game mechanics and Mass Effect is far from the only game that does this. Tekken, DoA, Spiderman, Batman, Resident Evil (remember when dodging in RE4 during a reload animation instantly reloaded an protected you?), hell, ME2 had it for any Vanguards who've ever used a Claymore. It's not a glitch, it's not underhanded, it's not cheating. It falls in line with utilizing a double BE with Singularity. Don't let a few clueless gamers influence you to even suggest that.

 

@ Lemur: I guess we're in the same boat, haha. I hate using the Reegar, Harrier, AIU, TGI, GI, and Acolyte w Flamer. Just feels dirty to me and makes things so easy. Granted an Incendiary IV VENOM on my Quarian Male Engineer feels easy but it's also fun and full of asplosionz.

 

Sure, whatever you say. But it breaks the game just fine was my point. So if this is a feature, BioWare seriously better take this into account when balancing the next game. Because it's far from balanced the way it is right now.

 

And if you want to see way more so called "features," take a look at the world of speed running and see how excellent use of features totally breaks many games. Here, start with ME1;

What's to be jealous about, you saying I can't do the same when warmed up? It's mostly how I know about it dominating. You don't see many markmans on consoles with console aim gamepads. And who would want to on console with aim assist always messing your aim up.

 

My fave weapon for one shot kills is also the one shot Widow X. First weapon I want to level up to X on PC.

I have two things to say.

Reload canceling is not cheating. It's not a glitch. Why is it even mentioned in this thread? It's an intentional game mechanic. Saying that it's cheating is saying that dodging or using powers is cheating.

 

 

Probably because several ultra vocal people at gamefaqs consider it cheating despite the creators saying it is absolutely intended.

It's the same reason why I don't use Reegar or play AIU or TGI etc. - even though I don't consider their use cheating, they make me feel like I'm cheating.

I reload-cancel and sometimes cheese the hack, when my PUGs suck balls, and we'd be doomed otherwise. Like a good ol' London W6/10 center hack.

Nothing else.

 

ps: Oh very rarely I use incendiary+warp provolone too, but not as much as I used to back in my n00b days. And yes, I'm guilty of taking advantage of the weight glitch, but that's not my fault... I'd take the extra weight on 90% of my characters I use the 50% weight penalty mods on.

But it wasn't done in mind to be used with medigel button cancel which is much easier on PC. I was done in mind to cancel with power use and/or rolling/get to cover animations. 

 

And it's a dev that said that, not me.

Anything that gives a player an unfair advantage is cheating - 66666 builds, OHK Predator pistol etc.

 

Using a Reegar is cheating, unless you are using my mod which nerfed Reegar by halving the range.

So when I roll as soon as I cast Smash to cancel the animation that's cheating.

 

When I activate Tech Armor then light melee or Asari dash that's cheating.

 

When Garrus shoots his Krysae then does a roll as soon as the shot is fired that's cheating.

 

When I choose to Suplex a ganado while reloading my Red9 pistol that's cheating.

 

When I use Bryan Fury's 1+3+4~2,1,2,4 that's cheating.

 

When Solid Snake unequips and reequips his Socom pistol when it has 2 bullets left that's cheating.

 

 

God damn... I guess we should all be considered cheating. Nobody beat MGS3 legit, all Tekken players should be banned from competition (even Harada-sama), and forget the Chicago Typewriter because only scrubs exploit the dodge.

I'd completely forgotten the weapon weight glitch.  I'm fine with that one too.
