@SpectrePug:
I think rabbits are adorable and cute. I also know they are tasty. We've always had rabbits in our family and yes, they are fluffy and fun to play with. Once they are mature though... they end up as food. There are lots of traditional recipes for rabbit around here, too.
Some people cuddle with chickens, play soccer with cows, go for walks with their pig... and others eat them. Rabbits are no different.
You can turn almost every creature into a pet. Spiders, snakes, rats, frogs, tortoises, hedgehogs, squirrels, birds... but that doesn't mean suddendly everyone else has to stop eating them. If that was the case, then no one would be allowed to eat meat of any kind.
You chose to be offended. DarkOrgasm replied with a LotR quote. There was no intention of insulting you, threatening your pet rabbit or anything else in that manner. What someone else does with their animals is no business of yours, as long as it is legal. Looking down on them for eating an animal of the same kind as the one you have an emotional bond with is wrong.
Personally, I wouldn't mind having a fluffy bunny here right now. Something cute to cuddle with while I watch a movie. I also wouldn't mind eating rabbit with dumplings for dinner later.
Don't take everything so seriously, life's too short to waste it on stupid arguments. ![]()
