Hieroglyphics - perhaps a new symbol language we will have to learn to complete the ending.

Communicators - not all conversations have to be face-to-face, especially for talking with squadmates that have separated from us during a mission, and we get dialog or action options for how to coordinate our squad's attacks. Seems to me to be a good way for handling a more 'open' world. Our team splits up, they give us some mission-perishable intel which they have found that affects our navigation choices to choosing different paths, whether to engage an enemy or not, etc.

I would say Characters that reflect the beliefs of who wrote them to a degree, with fictional work for it to make sense within the universe of Mass Effect too. I would basically would like characters that can get us to think about real world stuff after we take sometime to think about what they were saying type of thing. Maybe we won't see it the first time through but we will realize the real world issue that it mirrors after we do some serious thinking about what was said.

I guess I am saying I want the characters and such to make us consider whats going on in the real world after we sit down and thinking about what they were saying for the fictional universe. Than it will dawn on us what issue it reflects in our society. Also I think this would be best through the characters and the writers that write these characters could reflect their opinion to us through the character itself.

LOL.

Latin was my 4th language but Egyptian Hieroglyphics?  Without the Rosetta Stone they would still be pretty pictures. Perhaps Quipus  may be more of a challenge?

Yeah, I didn't really mean learning a new language. I was thinking more along the lines of piecing together the meaning of a few icons, revealed progressively through the game, that lead us to the solution. And, our new sexy/friendly aliens can interpret / translate them for us (provided they learned American English with big pictures in Mrs. Kipp's kindergarten class). Lol.

My Mass Effect: Andromeda Wish List:

I've been playing a lot of Division lately and to me that game feels very Mass Effecty in a few places along with some parts of the music. Which is making me ache to re-play Mass Effect 1-3 again.

I know MP is not 100% popular but I would like to see a mode or side campaign that plays a bit like the Division based in the Mass Effect world. I can see it being set on a "Citadel" or "Omega" style Space Station which has been over-run with Mercenary Gangs at War with each other, a huge Criminal Syndicate, Hostile Alien races, with a variety of civilians of all races/species caught in the middle. You role would be to team up with 3 other players and enter this "Space City" to gather intel, rescue missing/kidnapped VIP's, save Civilians and to dismantle the gangs. Your MP character can be Human or any of the other Alien races featured in ME:A and depending on your race opens up different classes and skill trees. As you progress you can side with factions and ignore your previous mission objectives. It would mainly be PvE but with some areas like the Dark Zone being PvP. Most importantly it shouldn't affect the Main Single Player Story in anyway.

That's my BIG wish... and I know it is extremely unlikely to happen. But here are my other (more realistic) wishes:

A new Drell Assassin character to join your crew. (my favourite race)

More exploration of planets like the first Mass Effect.

Zero Gravity exploration of derelict or destroyed spaceships that you come across on your travels. You tether (or dock with) them, suit up and float across. You explore the ship through darkly lit corridors, investigating what happened to the crew and gather cargo. Bigger ships can have Gravity drives that need to be fixed to return things to normal and some might still have hostiles roaming about.

Spaceship Dogfight Battles (either in the main ship or preferably a smaller fighter). Can take place in Space or on Planet Surfaces. During these dogfights you could disable a mercenaries ship then go over and explore them for cargo and loot like mentioned above.

Better customization including better hair options for the female characters, and better beards for the males.

Music keep exactly the same :)

Is there any game that uses WASD to control a space/aerial dogfight? I assume so. How well does it work?

Apologies if I am misreading you but are you asking about WASD on a keyboard? For a PC version? My Mass Effect experience is all been on Xbox.

Yes, I play ME on the PC. So I'm asking if the WASD keys are useful enough to control a 'ship' in 3-D space for a dogfight. Any good examples of games that handle 'flying' this well for the player, or is a flight control (joy) stick required?

I thought I was the only one to catch a very distinctive "Mass Effect" vibe from the Division's soundtrack. I was doing some chores around the house with the game sitting at the main menu and the music sounded very reminiscent of that great science fiction title.

Also, I agree with your take on using the Division as an example of what BioWare could go for in a more open-ended multiplayer; at the very least, a setup like the Division could work for any sort of online narrative. A customizable, silent protagonist, with the story being presented over comm chatter and investigations, such a framework would work very well at allowing for an actual story to unfold, without restricting the player to a pre-generated character, a la DAMP.

As for my wish, which is multiplayer specific as well, I want to have playable, non-humanoid alien kits. Playing as a Salarian Infiltrator, or Geth Engineer is fun and all, don't get me wrong, but I really want to see some unique asymmetrical gameplay in my online bouts. Being able to play as something like a Rachni, or Elcor would really help add some diversity to the game, simply due to the unique nature of those species animations, an battlefield roles, as well as just being awesome to play as. I might be the only one who feels this way, but I have found way more enjoyment out of games that have such diverse gameplay options, than others that just have variations on a standard formula.

A perfect example of this is the canine form in the MMO DC Universe Online, it's just simple shapeshifting power, with a limited power set, and yet I had way more fun running around beating up mobs as a "Super Rottweiler" than I ever did flying around as a Superman or Batman knockoff.

Spoiler

EDIT:

Even Gears of War had some interesting mechanics with playing as non-humnoids in a multiplayer setting, so it's not like there isn't a precedent for things like this to be viable player characters:

to be honest I haven't played any games like that on the PC. The way I am imagining the controls for the dogfights (for console) is similar to the Spaceship section in Halo: Reach which had an arcade feel to it. It worked well on a standard controller so can't see it being that different for a WASD control scheme.

What was the Division like? I haven't got the game yet, but I watched it on YouTube and the game looks good!

1. Possibly the most important thing, this game should feel like Mass Effect. I want them to go back and look at all 3 games. Bring back all the themes and musical cues we know and love.

2. A return of the rpg elements that were in the first game along with more companion abilities. No more of that companions having 4 skills and skill trees only have 4 bars to max out.

3. No shared cooldowns, make it more tactical like the first one. In the original we used all our abilities in a big fight. The sequels force you to just use 1-2 useful skills and forget the rest. As Vanguard you can just charge and nova everything all day.

4. Bring back the effect biotics had on objects, moar physics.

5. Replace pull with lift, because it was superior.

6. Bring back the old throw

7. Please bring back Lash because it's hilarious

8. Open maps with actual things to do and explore, not just an empty one with constantly respawning enemies, and mining. (cough DAI cough)

9. Garrus Vakarian

10. No Hammerhead please, no matter what Cortez says that thing sucks. I wish I could've jump in the screen and told Cortez to stfu when he argued with James that it was better than the Mako. Psh.....get shot two times, damn thing explodes. Can't even kill a turret in 10 shots. Mako took out thesher maws. It would probably take the Hammerhead an hour to kill a maw lol

11. No constipated run animation

12. Actually make Adept a fun class to play without guns. In-game they're described as being the ultimate biotics taking out enemies without firing a shot but in actuality the Vanguard plays more that way.

13. Equipable armor, grenades, omni tools, amps along with upgrades. No more forcing people to wear helmets with unique armor please.

I will be back with more.

I don't want my spacebar to do everything movement related: jump, take cover, jump over cover, etc. Nothing more annoying than trying to take cover behind something in a firefight only to vault over it instead and learn the hard way that Shep is not a damage sponge.

MGS5:TPP and Destiny are a form of open worlds they are both repetitive and only MGS5:TPP is more fun to do for making your own weapons, security devices, capturing soldiers, building your base and weather changes plus day and night. So no, not really wanting a huge open world and not the boring side ops of ME1 that have little to do with main story. (Don't go open-world overboard) Make it interesting story wise like ME2: LotSB, Citadel and back story when bringing Javik on Thessia defeat. (Also, disappointing ending of DAI before DLC) The gameplay of ME3 SP and MP was good. MP could have been better if "hazard" maps wouldn't cause system crashes or horrible lag. (A wee bit too challenging that) And if hero is gonna be ended at end of saga, not something like the sim-child starbrat. No matter what class, hero was a soldier and should have a soldiers death. If a child is going to be the "end" of hero's saga, it should be more like Miranda's sad-ending storyline. Its fiction, it may be bware's creation but w/out fans they won't make money & no need for Cr** endings. Hopefully the game will still be M rated, so give good LI scenes it deserves (ya don't like, don't watch, no one forcing ya to :o) Have females hero's better looking than predecessors, excluding ME3 standard FemShep and certain DA2 DAI females. And IF there is another trio, don't screw over female hero's on LI continuity. "I wuvd you, went to beach, scr*w off, knocked boots prolifically with another cause you scare me cause you're not a meek do as I say woman" Or "I'm dying, I'm dead" :crying: Or A "bird and a human? how we do dat?"

The game needs to be engulfing both SP and MP, game consoles have improved tremendously (pc-playing for ) so wow our minds and imaginations and emotions and get us invested and replaying your game! lolol :P

Also, JUST Get it Done.

OR sell ME Trio for PS4/XB1

OR LEGO version of ME Trio.

OR ALL OF THE ABOVE!

THANK YOU AND GOOD NIGHT!
