I have a two-handed maul called the "Last Stand" that gives two guard on hit.
The guard generation works for my Katari but never works on my Reaver or Avaar.
I've been playing more Perilous and Nightmare and it would be great to have the Guard generation work properly. 
I prefer AoE weapons.On TLS,there is lv 24 version.

Wow I have never seen this level 24 version of the Last Stand. I have gotten plenty of the lower level ones but never used it. I don't have the Dancer Axe or the Hakkon but this seems like a cool weapon for the Reaver at 330 damage which is as high as my highest damage Dragon Maul. Reaver with constant guard and low health = high damage and safety net!
OP you said guard generation works on the Katari, but doesn't Katari generates guard on any weapon on hit just like the Silent Sister? I don't play Katari normally, but the few times I did, I noticed the guard on hit. So maybe the weapon is just broken for everyone?

Nah... Call of the Dark and Seige's End are better 
Yes Katari does have built in Guard on Hit. That's why OP thought TLS might be broken.

There are bugs in this game in which guard is at times not generated for a variety of reasons. I had a match the other day in which my kataris charge generated no guard at all. It was a trying match I'll tell ya that.

Yeah, I ran into that quite a bit the past few weeks, where my Katari and my Silent Sister weren't generating guard on hit. At all. Silent Sister at Level 5 Perilous with no guard is unpleasant, let me tell you.
Seems to largely happen when dropping into a game already in progress.

I run into that every once in a blue moon as well (and like you, it's when I'm dropping into someone else's game). It's basically the Yang to the Yin for those times when you mysteriously gain guard from another SS's attacks...

Ah, I've never encountered that Yin. Just been all Yang on my front.

I think you and I balanced out. I have gain guard more than not getting guard. In one match, everyone was getting guard from the single SS in the group. It was crazy.. we all walk into Zone 5 with some guard on.
