While we did get our DLC already for campaign and it did expand upon the game story wise I noticed not much was added to or improved upon with some areas. For example I noticed DAi multiplayer coop mode has steadily gotten new classes with new abilities that in some cases are unique to that class, race, or character which I love and as to be expected being a multiplayer mode but think the campaign itself would have greatly benefited from getting as well considering how you can be different races and classes these same new abilities multiplayer gets would have worked with and benefitted the campaign as well. I wonder why the campaign didn't get same kind of love along with the DLC it did get as the campaign classes could have benefitted from getting at least some of those new abilities added as well even if not all of them but those that would be possible and fit woth any of the classes campaign foes have.
Maybe in the future with next sequel you should consider coming up with a design for campaign that will give players different characters and races to choose from that start with their own unique starting build that along with abilities that are universal it is also filled with some abilities that are unique and only for that race or character just like it is with each character you can choose from in multiplayer instead of the way it is now. Picture had players in campaign been able to choose from a selection where each race/character you can choose from and then customize and name starts off with their own special abilities like it is now with multiplayer how much more fun , interesting, and immersive that character would be gameplay wise. I think this can work because players would only start with different build's to level up but still have access to and be able to advance to and choose from advanced classes like arcane warrior, blood Mage, and etc later on in game like it's always been with every dragon age title either way sure there is something devs could come up with need be.
Considering how DA game's original design was obviously effected by this new multiplayer mode we deserve this next time around as obviously a lot of what was changed or lost that made fans unhappy for example like previous abilities and spells like healing and evens spells like stone armor and etc to name a couple and that were either left out or turned into potions instead because one it fit better with their plans for multiplayer and is easier to sell as a microtransaction unlike spells and two obviously if DA still had them spells then their idea of selling potions as a microtransaction through cash shop wouldn't work because it wouldn't needed or relied on as it is now if game still had them spells so in turn making it not profitable so of course that couldn't happen therefore that is why it had to be taken away or changed games design to fit with new multiplayer coop mode and it's micro transaction system. Mind you if they had given the game a true coop mode that is included and part of campaign as it is suppose to be and is with most games traditionally then that would have been the best route but also no because doesn't work or fit with their need to have a micro transaction/cash shop.
A lot of this would have not only added longevity to campaign and more reason to replay campaign again alongside any new DLCs but improve overall game as a whole. In the future or with next sequel I hope bioware considers all this or simply while I doubt includes a true coop mode within campaign as I stated above and this would solve everything but if not at least consider rest. I am sure all this would greatly be appreciated to those who buy and have always played DA titles.
I hope campaign gets better support in some areas then it did with DAI next title..
