That bit of radiation won't frighten a hungry Krogan. Your liver will be remembered in the coming empire.
Cheer up and happy santa slapping or whatever it is all you pugs do for X-Mas.

Best Wishes, PurpSalarian.
Now I feel like a real jerk for not playing a game with you last night instead of the stupid pug I was in.
When you get back we'll do an all Salarian game in celebration.

First thing tomorrow morning I go in for a new breakthrough type of radiation surgery. Of course there is a small chance of liver failure, and also of injectable radiation travelling to unintended organs, so if I don't make it back, don't eat my liver. That is where 96% of the radiation is intended to go. Best case, you will develop immediate and incurable stomach, intestinal, and anal ulcers, worst case, you will die.
I may not be playing ME3MP for a week, so please don't delete me Mgamerz
I hear the salarian scientists are quite resourceful, so no worries!

The procedure itself went very well. But as it is injectable radiation that stays in my liver forever (wears off after a few weeks) I am now walking around with radiation sickness. I don't know how they expect me to "stay hydrated" when I can't even hold down a sip of water. When they said "flu-like symptoms" I thought man I can handle that, of course I am the first patient they have ever done this procedure on so they really didn't know what I could expect other than what they'd read. I should mention that I have two rare types of cancer, and there are only around 60 documented cases like mine in the entire world.
The bad news is they only treat half the liver at a time, so I have to go back and do this all over again next month. The good news is that, since it is directly targeted, two sessions are all that are required. I may pop up on Origin or the forums in the coming days, but I don't think I have the energy to play atm.
Thanks for the overwhelming amount of support, it really made my day to read everyone's kind words.

Hang in there and stay strong SMR. I had Nuclear training back in my Navy days in prep for Submarine service, and a ton more when I got to the fleet. I know the theories about radiation sickness more than I know about actual rad sickness - as I have only suffered it a few times. It's one of those things you wouldn't wish on your worst enemy.
Its good to 'hear' from you - and we will be around to check up. Hold the line!
