I thought Bioware stopped using Bioware points?

You still need them in order to buy DLC for older Bioware titles, like ME2, DAO, ME3, etc. Only future titles will no longer use Bioware Points. The old games have kept the old system, unfortunately.
And of course, this is for US only. We Canadian folk are out of luck yet again ![]()
It's not as good as the 50% sale prices for DLC on Xbox or PS (I'll continue to wait until EA/Bioware corrects their rather severe case of cranial-rectal inversion with regards to this particular issue), or as good as the 60% off promo code on Origin that could actually be applied towards Bioware points in freakin' October 2011, but for those on the PC who absolutely need to have their BP, and not want to get discounted points either from websites of dubious repute or having to pretend they're from a ex-Soviet republic, and not wanting to play full price, period, it's certainly better than nothing...

I find that bitterly ironic considering where Bioware is based... ![]()
And surely EA/Bioware must realize that after ME:A is released, as time goes by, it will inevitably be discounted/price dropped. If they do decide to retain the Bioware point system for older titles' DLC and continue to show the same inflexibility as they do now, I wouldn't be surprised if they ended up being as or more expensive than ME:A (which would be pretty sad yet somewhat hilarious, at least to me)...

$120 in Bioware Points is needed to upgrade from the Trilogy to a complete edition... given that DA:I already has a complete edition with 50% off specials I'd say it is all but inevitable that ME:A will cost less than the old games.

Just found about the DA:I GOTY edition - $29.99. Price of DA2 with all DLC - $56.94. Even with the Gamestop discount on Bioware points, it's still $13 more than the GOTY edition.
So, I guess in DA:I's case it's already happened... ![]()
It boggles the mind that EA can't even offer this on their own store.
Still too high considering how often the DLC goes on sale on PSN and how little you can get the trilogy for now. The cost of ME DLC for PC is a joke.
