They were some new players of course, on Xbox. It seriously pisses me off how Bioware not only allows this behavior, but basically encourages it. They don't even allow to players to post the names of bad/rude players. Bioware is truly stupid if they think this is acceptable. If this problem is not addressed in future games, I will not be supporting them.
Bioware has gone from one of my most beloved devs, to one of my most hated with the way they've managed the multiplayer in this game. I'm done playing with these new players and helping them out. Their behavior is ridiculous. From now on, I'm only playing with people I've played with before/veteran players. This game sickens me anymore... between the players, and the bugs... . Just had to vent, as someone who has played since the start

I've been kicked a couple times recently by a newer group of players but it was not post game. No big deal there is always another game around the corner. I'd kick Proto from every game but damn Martin Sparks is too nice and never puts that final kick vote on him.

Martin will if you convince him. I'm sure that it would be even easier for you to convince him than it was for me, seeing as you are a fellow Canadian.

Just don't play with those scrubs anymore. Problem solved.

Are you being kicked out of the lobby post-game or actually kicked out during the game itself? Randomly curious.
Over on PS4, I only ever got kicked once or twice from a lobby and I have no idea why, but just shrugged and moved on. Both times were when I had just joined the lobby, so I figured they'd just set it to private or forgot to set to private and were making room for a friend (or maybe they just didn't like the character I was bringing). Lobby kicks don't bother me at all. Honestly, if I see someone putting up kick votes on others, I tend to just leave lest I be forced to endure some pathetic e-drama.
Kicking in-game is a mixed bag as far as my opinion. On the one hand, it's handy if you really need to get rid of someone who is stopping game progress (such as not gathering at the flag on Zone 5). On the other hand, it can absolutely be abused. I have heard of people getting kicked on XBox right before the match ends so that person doesn't get any XP/money. That's horrible. Fortunately, I don't see that pretty much ever on PS4. I'm not sure a lot of people on PS4 are even aware of how to kick mid-game, which is sometimes bad when we're held hostage on Zone 5 by a non-flag-gatherer. There have been times when I've had to get on the mic and walk the other PUGs through the kicking process so we wouldn't all get hosed out of a match.

Absolutely. I see this quite often in pugs where people simply afk for 2/3 of the match. I'm fine with that, maybe there was an emergency or they are speaking to friends or doing something, idk. But if someone simply won't gather around the flag then kick is utterly necessary.

I don't see why there isn't an auto-kick function for players who have been idle for too long. I am 99% sure ME3 had one, so why not DAMP?

Originally, ME3MP did not have one. Then, with either a patch or maybe one of the DLCs, a feature was added where you were automatically kicked after 2 minutes of being idle in a public match. This helped alleviate a lot of leeching that was occurring, where someone would hunker down behind cover and then AFK the whole game. Granted, it wasn't perfect. You could put rubber bands on your joysticks and have your character running circles (and either survive the wave or bleed-out and get to stay in-game regardless), but I literally only ever encountered that once.
As an added bonus, it was NOT implemented for private matches, which was perfect as it didn't affect friends if someone needed to pop off to the restroom quickly or go grab a fresh beverage or attend to a sudden household emergency while the others were fine carrying them for a wave or two.
I was incredibly disappointed when this, among other very good features (such as selecting enemy faction and a progressive weapon RNG pool), did not carry over into DAIMP. It, among some of those other features, are things I hope were taken as lessons and will reappear in MEAMP.

I made it a habit to check regularly for red skulls during matches, if I think itwas for a bs reason I go into a-hole mode. Start teabagging, open treasure rooms and the revenant to everybody.

The crack DAIMP team decided to improve things by making sure you get no exp for leaving a game even though 99.9999999999999% of the time you leave the game because the fortan coded game crashes, no key bug, kicked to desk top, lose connections, Narnia, unkillable creatures, etc etc etc

Do you talk to these randoms?
I havn't been kicked mid-game, ever... Other than that time I teabagged ONYXKNIGHT and Hoggnuggler...
Lol. Seems like Onyx. He was probably drunk again. And no, I believe they were in a party. Probably all bitching about how I must be hacking... lol

Lol. It's all fun and games til someone gets the bag. Then it's more fun and games... all the more reason to work for that 1000 constitution huh?

Another thing I loved about having the ability to select faction was that you were awarded bonus XP for choosing random faction, as well as random map. Give people options, but reward them for not stacking the deck in their favor. Hopefully this is implemented again in future iterations of multiplayer modes.

Yup. I loved me some Unknown/Unknown/Gold in ME3MP... right up until Collectors dropped. Then it got hard to find U/U/G lobbies because it was an honest to God crapshoot whether you'd make it through Collectors and/or certain hazard maps without someone's PS3 hard crash freezing or dropping down to 30 seconds per frame like a PowerPoint slideshow presentation. Ended up having to set either enemy or map to avoid certain deadly combinations (Collectors/Hazard Ghost was guaranteed hard freeze, for example), which killed some of that fun. The only black eye on an extremely fun and otherwise well-done MP mode.

As I mentioned, it was after I killed the demon commander for them, right as I killed the last enemy... must be nice if you don't encounter so many pieces of **** on PS4. I always have a genuinely good time in this game when I pug and get a group of good players that understand that sort of hidden code of conduct.

They couldn't afford to have faction selection because they put in random difficulty.
I would guess that out of the total of 3 billion games played across all platforms 3 people ever have selected random difficulty. I like the guys that worked on DAIMP, a very nice bunch but I have to totally shake my head at some of the decisions that were made for this game. They SERIOUSLY need a fan focus group or something in early beta for the next mp game just so players who will be playing it a lot can point out the stick out like a sore thumb dumb decisions before they are locked in.

I would like to think it was put in by the same person who thought the default setting for a brand new player in ME3MP when doing their very first Quick Match search should be Collectors/Platinum. Because that was comedy gold when I made an alternate account JUST for the purpose of checking a new person's story because I found it to be so unbelievable because, really, who would believe that?

* snip *
It's more about luck of the draw, really. I've played since launch and I've only ever been kicked out of a lobby 2-3 times total for no reason. There were other times that I've been kicked, but that was due to me asking for the other players to kick me since I got stuck and couldn't pull up the menu to leave the match on my own.
Also, from a noob perspective, they may not have known about promotions and kicked you because they thought you were hacking (tbf, if I never heard about promotions and saw a level 2 character of any kind carry a perilous match, I'd think the same). I've run into more than a few new players that knew nothing about promotions (on PS3 until I can finally get a PS4 sometime after Christmas), so it's not very far-fetched.

DAMP really makes me miss this part of ME3MP. Even the uncommon weapons were pretty good on the right kits. With DAMP there's no reason to keep any weapon but your best for each class.

I've had some really bad stability issues in this game. I remember a few months where it was guaranteed that someone would drop at the beginning of zone 4 Ferelden Castle, and maybe a quarter of all games just randomly crashed, regardless of map. I never had serious stability issues in MEMP that I can recall; certainly nothing like what you described. Hopefully Bioware gets it all sorted out before their next foray into MP.
On topic: I have been kicked multiple times. Usually it was in the lobby when I didn't select a higher leveled class for Perilous. I have been kicked a few times right as I load into the game, but I think it's was a safe assumption that one of the team members crashed mid game and they were just trying to get them back in. Can't say I have ever been kicked at the end a game I carried though. On the bright side, they screwed themselves out of most of their XP. Serves them right!

Yes, it's probably just me and my garbage luck. Also, yea, that's looking on the bright side. Lol. Sadly I'll most likely not encounter them again. I'm sure they won't get very far in this game.

Been kicked from only a few matches, in the past it was hosting with the key glitch, but after that most of the time I think it was because the host forgot to set it to private, only twice have I experienced a genuine wtf? Moment.
The first time I can only come to the conclusion the the other 2 guys didn't like the character I was using (alchemist) because I joined just as 1 bled out & got booted, I was shocked about it, but thought nothing more of it (after hoping the other guy wiped too)
The second time was pretty much just like the OP, I was using a low lv character but I actually can't remember which one this time, I dropped into a lobby with only 2 guys again & got a kick vote from one of them, the other guy/gal didn't vote & we went through the match. A fourth joined halfway through and at the end, the matched went sideways with me dragging them kicking & screaming through to extraction & at the end, me & the one that joined both got kick votes, 2 each this time, other one left & I got only 1 vote, as soon as a new fourth player joined I got a second vote, followed by a third.
Anyway, these arsehole's exist on all formats, all I can suggest, should this happen again (& I hope it doesn't) I ask them why they kicked you, this is something I'm going to adopt too.
Ok, said my piece.
