Am I the only one who hates being trolled by combo bums?! You know, people that follow you around in PUBs constantly spamming snap freezer or flaming everything you try to put your own combos on? I was in Plat earlier and had a Paladin start following me around just spraying freeze EVERY TIME I would give him detonation after detonation, but see, he would purposely override my primes so he would steal the detonation to get the kills. So I pirposely started just dumping my harrier in everything he kept trying to steal with his snap freeze and stopped giving him detonation kills and HE JUST STOPPED PLAYING. And when I noticed that I tried to keep reviving him hoping he would get kicked and then he just started running around the map in big circles while me and another player finished up the game. What the hell is wrong with people like that?

Well, it's a team game, so I'd get used to comboing with others. A Paladin's bread and butter is snap cheese (unless you don't like the skill) so it's normal for that behavior. As for him acting like a tool afterwards, I wasn't there so I can't really say who was in the wrong. In the end, if stuff dies and you extract, mission successful. Move on to another lobby if you please.

In my opinion, there is no such thing as stealing a kill in this game. You don't get dibs on enemies. We are all on the same team.

Yes it is a team game!!! But surely you know, unless you're a sponger too, that the type of players I'm describing are playing selfishly. Overly selfish, deliberately taking advantage of others in platinum, when clearly, if all they are capable of is spamming overriding powers such as snap freeze WHILE TROLLING a certain caster to do so, especially a biotic caster who is clearly trying to detonate biotic combos(for the BOITIC detonation bonus such as explosion radius and damage of BOITIC COMBOS) then they have no business in platinum. It's not so much the effect they have on messing with my flow that irritates me, it's the fact that they are that type of player. I mean if you're a Paladin constantly spamming snap freeze and literally never throwing incinerate or energy drain, that's just ridiculous. There's a huge difference in someone casting as a team effort and someone casting selfishly for kills(taking advantage of the flow of other players to do so.

The idea is to kill things fast before they can cause trouble. I shoot at every target I see; it's instinctive. I I see a flamer, I throw a power in there hoping for a detonation. Target is netted or frozen? Shoot it. It all evens out in the end, and score doesn't mean diddly squat. If the target is down to health and the teammate is meleeing, I do lay off because he trying to get bonuses, but if the target still has armor, I shoot it. 

 

In a fast game, there is no way to know who thinks they have dibs on what enemy. 

 

The only troll that bothers me is the low N7 with poor equipment playing above his skill level.

imagine being in a real war with your unit (people you entrust your life on) and you get really deep into trouble on one of the ME firebases.
and you stop detonating and reviving and just shoot with your gun because otherwise your teammate might get the kills. lol

It's the fact that that's what they are trying to do, that that's THEIR only incentive, kills/scoreboard. Little do they know, kills don't mean a good score, damage does.

2. Carry AP drill or incendiary ammo, and if someone trolls you thusly the fix is obvious.

While I agree that there are no dibs, there's still a huge difference between playing smartly and just shooting at everything you see. In particular, if you see a disabled target, prioritize the other enemies who're still actively firing back. And if you see a Phantom locked in stasis, try to avoid shooting at her unless you think you can actually finish her instead of just dropping her out of it (and making her immune to stasis in the process).

 

Just common sense, really.

i forgot the jugg can buff teammates and do that.

I specced into the buff only once. Result, lot´s of dead pugs that thought standing right next to me is necessary. Ah well.
