Something I've noticed a lot is when I'm shooting a powerful single shot like Raider or Claymore, wearing the target down, and a teammate is shooting a weak full auto, like shuriken, they always get the kill. Because it's the last shot that gets the kill, and that'll usually be the full auto. Who cares? Dead is dead.
It doesn't matter who gets the kill, unless it is someone who withheld shooting until the enemy is down to the last bar or two.
Well sometimes you want to do a challenge or two and maybe some jerk is killing your husks or guardians.

Just to add to op's concerns of the paladin...
The paladin does most of his damage through tech combos regardless of how you specc him, you have to use your powers/melee to prime/detonate.
be glad that paladin is competent enough to use snap freeze and to set off tech combo's

If one needs Guardian points that bad, try solo bronze

Glacier Silver is the place for Guardians. If you nuke the atlases and phantoms on w10 objective they spawn in hordes.

If someone is deliberately suiciding and bleeding out for leeching purposes, the game will not kick them for inactivity. If they get revived and are still inactive, the game will flag them for a kick. (Usually happens after 1-2 waves)

Don't they need to be immobile for a minute or 2? It sounds as though the guy was just jumping up and running straight into more enemies.

IIRC they need to stop shooting/casting powers for 90 secs before being kicked.

Why solol when I can just play a co-op game in co-op play where if I'm doing a challenge my teammates respect my need for certain kills. It's team-based right? **** off sololing.

Nope, youre in a coop game where enemies are shared, so they arent your enemies alone, and if you cant kill things fast enough, them your team mates will. If that doesnt meet your narcissitic needs, you can always rage quit and do ..um..a solo! Nobody respects YOUR needs for kills if you cant kill fast enough

It would be kind of stupid not to use snap freeze frequently if you play the paladin, not really the players fault that Biovar designed the power that way.
I do play the paladin from time to time as I think he's kind of fun, do I care that I get easy points from snap freeze? No not really, and I don't mind either if other people play him in pugs either.

The only time killstealing annoys me is when I'm trying to combo an enemy and a weapon class keeps killing the enemies I prime before I can detonate them. They're not just hurting my score, they're hurting the team as a whole, because the combo would have killed that same target AND hurt the enemies nearby them.
Of course, if they're playing a class like that, they probably don't even need my help to begin with. In which case, I wish they'd solo and leave me in peace.

Also, I enjoy yanking enemies out of a Juggernauts grasp. I do. Usually I manage to control myself and not do it but sometimes the temptation is just too strong.
One of the perks of using Cryo Ammo on my SE is that frozen enemies are too heavy for the Jug and will fall out of his grasp
