Come on you peaceniks, I want to hear your rationalizations. This is an abomination. Whatever good there was about the Geth it's gone. It has nothing in common with what it was before. It's no better than Banshee or Cannibal, as a matter of fact I think it's worse. I totally expected renegade interrupt to refer to it as cancer.
Well, the first problem I see here is hyperbole like "nothing in common with" and subjective labels like "abomination" and "cancer" that have no meaningful/objective value. How do you know that the original 1183 programs are not preserved? We saw briefly the effect on Legion. The only difference is that he referred to himself as "I" rather than "we" and was glowing a bit in a way we had not seen before.
That's it, nothing distinguishable from the old Legion in any drastic way.
Well, Who's to say that the 1183 Geth programs inhabiting the legion aren't 1183 personality traits that form an individual? More personality traits/programs you have - more complex/advanced an individual. Stuff enough of them into one platform and... Surprise, surprise you get a unique individual like legion.
Legion refers to them as individual beings in their own right.
And, again, who's to say that any of these are even lost?
What Reapers do to the Geth is no different than what they do every other race, they cannibalize the core and turn it into tool that serves their purpose the best.
That doesn't mean we cannot take what serves their purposes and use it to serve ours.
Just because the Geth with Reaper code can crunch more data doesn't mean they're better off with it.
Doesn't mean they're not, either.
As to the fact that "It all turns out OK in the end". Well, first off there was no way of knowing that beforehand and taking that risk, with the fate of the entire galaxy at the stake, is immeasurably stupid.
The deck is stacked against the galaxy's fate regardless, so the argument for a conservative strategy is no more compelling than a high-risk one. In fact, worse for the former than the latter, because if you are screwed either way you might as well take a shot on the biggest pay-out -- what have you to lose? If you are to have any hope of winning, you need stuff like that to go your way.
As far as we know, everything that has come in contact/derived from Reaper thech either was indoctrinated, or bastardized into monstrosities.
NOPE, not true! Several things have derived from Reaper tech that have proven useful to us, sometimes even crucial to the effort against the Reapers.
Pragmatism takes precedence.
We're agreed on that. 
And, further justification: the Reapers forced our hand in that particular situation. Besides, maybe the geth were going to reach that point sometime down the line anyway. Due to the demands placed on them, though, they just sort of had to "grow up quickly" if you will.
