So are we getting that info dump at the end of the year or not?

I haven't been on the BSN in a while but I thought Bioware said we'd get a lot more info on ME: Andromeda near the end of the year. It's almost Christmas, what gives?

Considering that the N7 video said something like "more info on 2016", an educated guess would be: nope.

Bioware backtracked. They are now promising more info in 2016.

I would not be surprised if the game ends up delayed until 2017. It is a bit odd that they haven't released any information, or even really started marketing, a AAA game that is supposedly a year or less from release.

Yeah I don't think anyone is expecting it to come out next year.

Frankly, I'm okay with a delayed release. I'd rather they spend more time on it and do it right instead of shipping something that feels rushed and incomplete.

More info would be great, but we'll get it when we get it.

Knowing how things work with BioWare for few last years, if they are going to delay the release, it won´t be more than a month or two and by that time you pretty much can´t do anything else than bugfixes and maybe some patch that is going to fix performance issues, besides it´s not like that they didn´t have 4 years of time to do it right...

Even if that's all it amounts to, I find a release with extra bug fixes and a performance patch to be better than a release without them.

Yeah, I'm pretty shocked that we don't know more.  At this point in the DA: I development, we'd known most of the companions, had a few hints about the plot, and knew one of the major twists already.  I'm really expecting it to be a 2017 release.

We knew Cassandra was a companion way back in 2012, two years before DA:I released. There was concept art of Blackwall back then as well, though I can't recall if we knew his name yet.

Bioware's silence on this project is unusual when compared to previous games.

EA didn't start releasing detailed information on ME3 until April 2011 and that game was originally targeting a Holiday 2011 release.

i think we we called him Beardy McWarden for a long time, just like Dorian was Dramatic Hands Moustache Guy.

Personally I like that. I think they released too much info in the lead up to DA:I.

I remember that now.

On that note if the devs show off squadmates before release, I hope they don't release their names right away...just so the forum nickname committee can do their worst.

I guess I'll pay for it when 2020 comes. Full price at 60€ is like diarrhea for me.

E3 will probably be the big reveals, maybe some smaller reveals before then.

I remember when Josephine's nickname was Scribbles I think because of the writing board in her hand.

Yeah, the nicknames due to lack of companion names was the best.

Long live DHMG!

Solas was pretty special, too. He made the rounds as Voldemort, Nosferatu... and Nicholas Cage, after that one German magazine promo art shot. The funny thing was that I actually made the first comment about that particular look/facial expression reminding me of Nicholas Cage, and I did so with no real malice or ulterior motives, and then before I knew it, that sh*t had taken off like a bottle rocket and it became a whole BSN/Twitter/Tumblr meme.

I actually ended up joining the "official" Solas thread early due in part to feeling guilty about starting that meme and deciding that my penance would be becoming a fan of that character. Little did I know back then that he'd become the most dramatic love interest since DA2 Anders, and THAT'S saying something.

I'd rather not have any plot twists spoiled before the game's even released xD I take radio silence over that any day

I'm calling it now: BioWare scrapped most of what they had developed once they saw all of my stellar ideas and starting developing the superior game I laid out for them.

EA didn't start releasing detailed information on ME3 until April 2011 and that game was originally targeting a Holiday 2011 release.

But the story and character roster of ME3 weren't nailed down until very late in the process because that game was a mess from start to finish.

Yeah but asterisks crediting you won't pop up mid game so you will go into a ironic nerd fan rage.

You mean you all haven't purchased the pre-release information DLC? It's only 900 EA points, which is only 2 bundles of 500 EA points at £9.99.
You even get a free uniform retexture with the main game.

Buy the season pass and you'll get the DLC 2 weeks early.
