Just watched the movie. MEA will have that frontier vibe of colonizing planets and fighting against the natives, the Revenant has the same vibe, except the colonization part as the main character is a fur trapper whose company gets attacked by Indians and then a bear mauls him, his son is killed and he is left for dead, in which case he gets his revenge on his son' killer.

Ultimately MEA needs to have a dark emotionally feel to it, I'm not saying that MEA should be like the Revenant in plot points but what I am saying is that the path finder needs to be like Leo Di Caprio/ Hugh glass.

Thoughts?

Also I wouldn't mind a Samuel L. Jackson type of character from the hateful eight as a companion of sorts. Matter of fact they need to hire SLJ for a voice over role.
