Wayward PUGs, they'll never learn!
I'd say entitled PUGs are the worst PUGs, they deserve to be punished by Aboms bombardment.
Don't you mean they are fools, and should be eaten?

Someone telling me what I have to do basically gets...
So screw that guy and do your own thing.
Now that being said, there is a sort of "formulaic" playstyle to that map I find fun. Happens without communication and goes off well quite a bit in my experience. It's sort of camping, but not quite.
Two people take the office area and watch over the ledge/middle ladder top exit area. The other two take the ramp to the left. Still requires fluidity, you have to let yourself get pushed back on one side or the other depending, but you can hold that top area quite well that way. I've never once told people to do that, it just sort of happens in many matches there.
I liken it to the difference between strategy and tactics. I like it when there's an uncommunicated strategy everyone seems to stick with. 9/10 times it just makes everything easier. For instance when you randomly get Giant and everyone wants to hold the LZ. Yeah it's boring, but it's a great starting point. Doesn't mean you have to stay there and camp, but if everyone's there, you know where your spawns are coming from, and can springboard off that.
I don't really have a problem with camping, albeit trying to hold an area that's untenable is just suicide in this game, what I'd have a problem with is some fool pug trying to tell me to camp.
On gold no less.
Allies are holding steady and winning in key locations. Aerial bombardment commencing

It is a great feeling when your group just has amazing synergy and teamwork without any sort of communication needed.
but yeah, people shouldn't really be telling you what to do in pugs.
If someone wants me to follow instructions, they'd bettter make it clear before the game. Otherwise I'm very likely to just ignore them.
Camping? No, you won't see me doing that.
Ah, that's what I'm doing wrong.
I have a tendency to play sniper the way I play everything else.
So close I could poke the enemy's eye out with the barrel.
Edit:
I don't snipe much
Nothing wrong with that. I always run around when I'm sniping, I feel that otherwise I run out of enemies to kill. Some people prefer to stay more stationary (relatively speaking - it doesn't have to be actual camping), and that's fine too.
He was basically saying "You should all play the way I want you to play".
So screw that guy and do your own thing.
That sums up my position very well.
People still camp in this game? ![]()
Just play this song and join camping...
"Nihlus, you're camping with us?"
"I move faster on my own."
So yeah, while others camp, I just run around and kill stuff/get killed by stuff.
Just don't find another Turian, and you'll be good.

Use a flamer kit with the venom shotgun to assist his camping

Camping can sometimes irk me but on a map like reactor that becomes easy with good spawn management, I don't mind LZ campers. I almost find it funny.
I am a GI. I am the Weapon. When my foot hits the deck, the enemies kneel in submission, proximity mine ringing in their ears. Fortunately for them, their ears are no where near them when this occurs. There is no such thing as pity, nor remorse, nor compassion - there is only the hunt.
Hunting and camping are not the same thing. One is the Angel of Death, the other a coward. Choose your role.

dead puggernauts always make me laugh
Yeah, if someone actually got on their mic and requested/demanded I camp I'd definitely troll them in whatever way I was able (all the ideas mention thus far- Hex Shield, Shockwave, possibly some Venom applied to their feet- are good). Needless to say, under no circumstances would I comply with such a silly request.
He would never have had anything to snipe, as I would have been going around with my Raider/AValkyrie.
And lolGold.
If the team dps is good enough, camping can be fun.But I don't typically expect that from most pug games.

Four snipers in the middle of Rio can be lots of fun, if they are good.
If he wants people to follow his orders then he should make his own team.

I usually do what I like with the expectation that I'm on my own if it doesn't work out. Doesn't mean I won't camp if everyone else is doing it, but I won't usually change my plans for one bossy player.
You've obviously never had a set of good 'hold the line' matches. ![]()
One thing I want to add: Camping can be effective when there are one good Jugg (knows where to camp, when to throw out Hex Shield, and how NOT to block teammates' sight) and at least one high DPS player (that usually means me, or any BSNers I trust); we once beat Giant/Reaper/Plat in about 16 mins this way (thanks to easy objectives, too). Otherwise just don't bother, it seldom ends in a good way.
