You've obviously never had a set of good 'hold the line' matches.
Oh, I will do some camping (temporarily) with a friend, although usually I play kits that are best when mobile. Have also had some horrible examples of that due to ridiculous lag but being stubborn enough not to quit.
But if some unknown d|ckhead demands it solely based on his own scheme and because it happens to suit his/her kit and weapons, then hell to the no.
One time in Plat Pugs, the host was a Jug with preset Glacier/Reapers. He had a Volus friend in the lobby, and I kind of figured what was about to happen, and stuck around to see if I was right.
Once the lobby was full and the game began, the Jug got on his microphone. "Ok guys, follow me. This is what we have to do to win on this map." He lead the entire team up to the dead end hallway at the top of the long ramp, and told everyone to stand in the back. Wave 1 started, he placed his Large Hex Shield right in the doorway, and took up position directly behind it to Heavy Melee the first thing that came through.
Of course, the Volus and the other Pug could not shoot through him or his Hex Shield, he was doing piddly damage, Ravagers took the Shield down anyway within 5 seconds, and Banshees teleported right past him and grabbed everyone. I didn't even try to get away and just played along. The Jug mumbled something unintelligible and ragequit.

I was playing with gothpunkboy he was a jugg so we were going with the jugg camp strat, I somehow beat the human engi maybe infiltrator? All you humans look alike and demolisher at killing things. I forgot to switch my weapons and realized all i had was an avenger equipped. But good thing i was playing with the spaghetti burner papyrus My geth trooper. But then again i think back and wished i used sans GI with the avenger. Needless to say it was a disaster, only half of us extracted. me and that demolisher.
