My point was (some have discussed about it, many spammed)
Romance made of: few dialogues, few triggers and then "alcove's scene". No, no. Thanks.
Romance made of: well scripted dialogues, moments, quests, getting to know the character better than a simple friendship, living a portion of a game which is not scripted to please the ego but it's a playing experience. Yes, yes, please do more.
I wasn't discussing on "enabling" or "disabling" this or that, rather saying I'd prefer the latter approach in spite of the first one. As someone said, better to have 2 fresh juicy apples than 10 pale and slightly below the average ones.
What if they don't want be hit? Don't you think they deserve a choice? Do we have to force straight players to be hit by gay characters, just for the sake of diversity?
I think we are, I never saw the heart icon. Is this in DA? I only played ME. Don't get me wrong, I like the idea, it's a good alternative to my suggestion.
A lot of people complained about Kaidan in ME3, for example. Giving him a bottle of alcohol was an "indicative of interest" to the game mechanics.
Don't you think that being hit on makes these characters more real? If your character is only one who is hitting on people it makes romances and characters more superficial to me, not everything should be up to players choice in games. And being hit on isn't that weird or bad when usually there is polite way to tell you are not interested no matter your characters gender and sexuality, I don't think it should matter in terms of your character being hit on by others.
Of course there has been discussion about what is bad and good way for NPC to hit on you though like it would be nice to have always polite way to reject someone hitting on you.
And there you go again, pretending to know my feelings in order to frame me as a gay-hater, just because you can't argue as civilized person. Tell me how many times I've complained about being hit by Kaidan or Cortez when playing as a male Shepard. You can't, because I never did so.
As I said, we can't have any kind of civilized discussion involving homosexuality when people behave like that.
What can you do? Us gays are sneaky *peekaboo* You just got gayed!
Why would you disable content from the game just because it makes you uncomfortable? You would actually lessen your experience over something so trivial? Normally i would say that more options are good, but when i say that i am talking about difficulty levels, and other mechanics, not cutting away pieces from companions because of hysteria.
I am abit late in this discussion, so we might not even be on the same page or i might minsinterpret what has been said, but there it is. Also my gay comment may offend someone, i do apologize, and also i do not.
I agree that if the romance dialogue was better worked, the disable option wouldn't even be necessary.Of course there has been discussion about what is bad and good way for NPC to hit on you though like it would be nice to have always polite way to reject someone hitting on you.
This a pure example of hysteria. This guy really wants to compare disabling romance dialogue in NPCs inside a VIDEO GAME to SEPARATING REAL PEOPLE, FROM THE REAL WORLD from one another.
How do I even argue with something like that?

A game is an investment, right? i give money and the game entertains me. It offers a service. That service involves these romances we talk about. You want to separate them in groups as if they weren't the same!
In my mind is like if you wanted buses for white people and black people like decades ago. You give money, the bus offers a service. it's pretty much the same thing! do you understand now how toxic and harmful is what you're proposing? You should be glad that i'm even willing to discuss it without getting so offended. So, perhaps you THINK that i'm uncivilized but from were i stand, you are monster and, again, i'm taking it with a grain humor because otherwise..i would have to lose faith in someone (you) in a terrible way.

This principle of course applies to real life, but I don't think it needs to be translated to the game universe. After all, the game is about respecting the player's choices, not the wishes of NPC's.
Could one even count on more than one hand the number of times an NPC hits on the PC for no good reason?
Gender Wars!! Let's get our Jerry Springer on. Ding ding ding!!!
Nah! I'm a lover, not a hater ![]()
All game romances have been cheap since best girl showed up back in 08 tbh.
The reason for adding a sexuality setting to character setup is not to remove the gay. There are several advantages, first it's realistic that people's in your squad know your sexuality, after all we are not talking about strangers hitting on you in night clubs. It also means this can be used in conversations outside of romance ones. Personally I'm in favour of player sexual LI as it means you can give players more choice with less resource spent on creating LI's (and a setting should help with this). Representing diversity in the game is all very good but this can equally be done with none romancable characters (but even then let's remember this is just a game... I wasn't impressed with Iron Bull giving me a lecture in DAI because I asked if Klem was a woman)
Its almost like Iron Bull is a Qunari that would get upset and defend his friend. Not saying it is not annoying, but they are made to be as real as possible, and we all react to things differently. So it rather added to the character then detract from it.
Still i would prefer them to keep doing what they are doing. Great post though.

Nah.. ****. I've forgotten her name. Is better.
From the Persona series? persona 4? Chie? Yukiko? Rise? Marie? lol i want persona 5 xd
I also dislike the mandatory hug with Liara since that can seem downright out-of-character with certain player characters. A hug option like with Tali is fine, a mandatory hug like with Liara is not.
I didn't like having the what-the-crap hug on Ilium with the asari. I mean I told her I wanted to throw her back in the volcano. After the broker is killed, the player has the option to give the asari a hug, but if she's brought onboard the Normandy, she gets a what-the-crap hug with no option from the player.

Just the other day, a week ago, a guy (a gay) was beaten to death on the streets by a bunch of people just because he had "girlish" features.
When did you even start? Anyway, good to know.i'm done.
Chie. That's the one! She's funny as ****.
One thing puts me off Persona 5.. The fact that it's gonna be stealth. I might wait a while before I make judgement though.
Chie is hilarious and one of the characters with more development!
I remain unconvinced about the amount of party members in P5..but it's P5 so i guess i'll give it a shot as soon as i can!

I guess I learned to grow past this annoyance. They just suck (or sucked) at being reactive to specific Shepards. I mean, there's a few things that don't make sense with other characters (besides Liara) that don't make sense unless you romance them. It's the lazy way of doing things...and maybe not a Liara problem specifically.

What's the dealio anyway? It's supposed to be out already! Or was that just in Japan?
Release got delayed in general. No definite date yet but sometime around summer 2016 for Japan and later for the rest of us.
