I have no idea what you're proposing here. The various means by which the Crucible can defeat the Reapers have consequences. Exactly how did you expect Bio to not tell us what those consequences were while still setting the game in the Milky Way?

Set it super far into the future and have society collapse so that records of what happened disappear and everyone speaks in weird future dialect.

The Shepard takin' the space monstas n' free us of thems control. That's the true true.

That just gave me some terrible flashbacks to that Cloud Atlas movie

Weeks and Gaider are on the new IP? The SJWs must be throwing a party. Hell, why dont we just call it 'project tumblr'

Tumblr will be delighted.

Didn't Gaider get a shitload of hate on Tumblr?

Yeah, though I can't remember exactly why.

Tbh that's the nature of the internet though. There's always someone hating on something, sometimes for the pettiest reasons.

It's why the internet should be ignored sometimes.

As long as the PC does the whole game in that dialect, I'm in.

(Think the board's ready for a "What could Bioware learn from Cloud Atlas?" thread?)

The comment you mention so came out of nowhere. No discussion on representation or themes, just development team for MEA, and someone still felt the need to slam those horrid SJWs. It was kind of hilarious.

Nice. John Dombrow wrote Javik too IIRC glad he is still around. Sucks losing Weekes tho since he is full time Dragon Age now right? I think he is the novels/lead writer after Gaider stepped down/aside to work on other stuff?

To be honest I saw a lot of people be iffy about the Geth in the Rannoch arc and compared to Tuchanka it still felt like the inferior arc, granted, it was still the second-best part of the campaign IMO.

However, Weekes was also the guy in charge of some of the worst and farcically comical side-quests on the Citadel in ME3 like saving a homeworld from an indoctrinated Hanar where you meet Kasumi without any greeting and a tone that doesn't know when to be serious or lighthearted. Part of me isn't too sad he's not on board. Besides, he's one of the Bioware guys who defended the ending like a wimp.

Afaik, the team that was making Shadow Realm, is working on a new IP. We still know nothing about that IP but the word "new" makes me think it's not a remake

Yeah, the KOTOR train has left the station a long time ago for good (probably) when they decided to get into MMO with The Old Republic.

But if by some miracle we can get more KOTOR games? I'm all for it.

This.

Also I think if Bioware ever rolled out another KOTOR game that it would be KOTOR 3, instead of a reboot of the first game.

With this array in motion (EAware) you can't.

A lot things changed since the MMO...

The team based in Austin is working on SWTOR. Edmonton team is working in the new IP. There's no reason for two teams work in one game.
Mostly of the Star Wars Expanded Universe was thrown in the garbage, and Disney don't want working on things that is not cannon anymore. So, no KOTOR 3.
But, 3 planets still cannon: Mannan, Taris and Rakata Prime.
There's a lot of rumors in passed year that KOTOR will receive a remake.
So I really think that Austin team is working on SWTOR and KOTOR remake.

You mean, you're certain that Weekes agreed with you about the ending, but he didn't want to be mean to his co-workers?

Certain?

The hate was justified though.

Gaider doesnt take criticism like a professional, he's sometimes even being too rude.

Tbh i think thats what happens when you are trying to be fandom's best buddy, half of the fandom begins to hate you.

Really? I never noticed Gaider trying to be my best buddy. I guess he might be close with his gay fans, due to him being gay and all?...

In any case, personally I think that it's healthier to discuss the product and the company who made the product in general,

than it is to get personal about about specific developers, but that's just me.
